Noooooo....!
I havent been able to find a sample and I SO wanted to try this. By now I had pushed it deep down in subconsciousness.
Back up in my head again it is.![]()
Glad you are so pleased, Tesla!
Btw, didnt Amit push this one immensely?
Thread: L'Ombre Fauve. |
L'Ombre Fauve arrived into my waiting arms today. At first the relationship was at arms length whilst I plunged my finger upon the spray mechanism. There was a moment of mixed emotional anticipation and then, there was love. L'Ombre Fauve is like the olfactory equivalent of the Mona Lisa, she enigmatically smiles, her demeanor cool and warm. Her sensual skin exuding incense and musc warm as a journey of bliss is realized to begin. The journey, in it's glory, continues and, while I want the tops notes and middle notes to last forever, I eagerly await the dry-down. Not just another fragrance but olfactory art incarnate. What a marvelous fragrance! Viva L'Ombre Fauve!

Smellin good
Glad you like it ! I tried so many times but just couldn't get past the musky, animalic fur notes ;'(
Awesome! A masterpiece frag. It's just so...different. Long lasting as well.
It's quite fantastic - I truly enjoy wearing it. It is my SOTD BTW.

It is my SOTD also and it just simply fantastic. I love this one.
I find the this one to have a realistic animal fur accord that was impressive, but one that I couldn't quite enjoy.
Any more thoughts on this L'Ombre Fauve? I haven't explored any of the PG line, but this one and Cuir d'Iris have piqued my interest...
Smelled it meanwhile ( thanks Larimar ) and it (unexpectedly, to be honest) lived up to the myth of being extremely animalistic / furry in a way that I do not find sexual as a contrast to musk.
Dark, dirty, earthy patchouly.
Very interesting concept and certainly a well executed frag but my sample already lastes a while and I think a 8 ml decant would set me for life.
Not that versatile and especially with a collection of, say, 30 or more, one really needs to love it as I think one would only very rarely reach for it otherwise.
Smellin good
IMO the entire PG line is wonderful.
Dear N_Tesla,
If your post is not perfume-porn, I don't know what is! It got me going. Going for my wallet, that is. Darn you.
I just couldn't do it. I couldn't buy L'Ombre Fauve blind, so I ordered 2 samples of it + Cuir d'Iris. I'm hoping L'Ombre is fantastic, as I'm itching to acquire a new bottle of something.
No one should blind buy, but this is good stuff...
I don't love as much as N Tesla's description, but the animal fur thing is cool. Does make me feel like "the shadow of the beast." It wears on me very cleanly.
Amber, musk, woods, patchouli
Got in my samples of L'Ombre Fauve and Cuir d'Iris.
Whooooa baby, this L'Ombre Fauve is nice! In fact, I like it much better than SL's Ambre Sultan. The Bestial Shadow DOES remind me of what a mischievous little fox with a penchant for amber fragrances would smell like....
