Default Which 2 of these to Purchase?

Getting ready to order 3 very affordable colognes to wear to work (7th grade Math teacher) as well as on the weekends. 3 colognes I already have plenty of are Kenneth Cole Black, Carlos Santana, and Hugo by Hugo Boss...so I'm looking for something different from those three. I thought I wanted something very 'citrus' but after getting some headaches while trying a couple this week I definitely don't want to get more than one (if any) that has a heavy citrus smell to it.

One I know I'm definitely going to order is Tommy by Tommy Hilfiger...it's the one cologne I've tried over the last 10 days in which my wife game me a compliment...well, I think her exact words were, "You don't smell too bad tonight."

So, from the following, which two do you feel would be great to wear any time and wouldn't be too similar to Tommy or to each other?

    Versace Blue Jeans
    Curve Soul by Liz Claiborne
Rochas Man by Rochas for Men
Azzaro Onyx by Azzaro for Men

Any other under $20 (1.7+ oz) colognes you would recommend that would compliment the others mentioned above in a rotation?

Thanks for all your help and patience. I promise this is the thread I start for a good while.

Save your pennies for 1 bottle of something great instead.
Lalique White on Overstock with a coupon is about $31 for 4.2 ounces.

Of the ones listed - Blue Jeans. Vanilla amber and powder - it's nice enough.

Reg Azzaro Pour Homme might be an interesting alternative.

Cool Water is a classic ( good in both warm and cool weather)

Montana is great in the fall - spicy but clean

Heck even Obsession would be a consideration for the cooler months

Rochas Man is a good choice for an inexpensive scent, as would be Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin.

Versace Blue Jeans is a good choice. That was one of my first purchases my swiss army knife. I used it for all occasions.

    Wise words.

My favourite "twenty dollar fragrance" is Voyage by Nautica (disclaimer: in my city it is $20 for 100ml at the moment... but it is usually a bit more).

Micallef #31 EdP is selling for around $15 for 100 ml and that blows the doors off the ones you mentioned, IMO of course.

Of the one's listed, I would go with Blue Jeans and Rochas Man. Enjoy

I did that the last time around. Saved my money up and purchased a bottle of Chanel Allure Sport. Loved the cologne but about 60% of the way through the bottle I seemed to get bored and was looking for something new. This time around I figured I'd get a few cheaper (but still good) colognes. If I get bored with one I can rotate to another one...and if I end up starting to really dislike one I won't have spent much money on that cologne.

I know, a strange way to look at it but want to go a different route this time.

To each his own, but I will say one thing.
2 bottles of cheap cologne will never get you to feel like you're wearing a well made, well done fragrance.
Does this mean spending $100? Not necessarily.
This is an expensive hobby if you really dive in and look for loves in specific scent makeups.

One of the biggest blind buyers here, and I cant believe in saying this but, spend a few dollars sampling some of our suggestions instead. Blind buying has bit me a few times and unloading the fragrance to get your money back takes time.

There are folks on this board, other websites, blogs, youtube that have far more experience than I, but there is something to be said for certain fragrances above $50 or around that ball park. Not all of them obviously, but in general you get what you pay for, the cost of materials and production in cheap scents are handed down to the customer. Why is Nautica Voyage so cheap? IMO, because it smells cheap.

It sounds like money is the motivator here. With that said, do what pleases you.
I think spending $5 here and there sampling some great scents is the best way to go, its really worked out well for me.

    Plus, you'll never get bored!

OP - if interested I would be happy to send you a partial bottle of Azzaro Onyx that I have in my stock. It's just sitting there and would save you the money and trouble of finding out with money better spent on other scents

Let me know and I would be happy to send this to you. It would be a small giving to the community I would gladly do

Funny story, or not - yesterday when my wife said I didn't smell too bad I assumed it was because she liked the Tommy cologne I had on. At the time I had 2 'shots' of Tommy on my neck, 1 on my right arm, and then 1 'shot' of Swiss Unlimited by Swiss Unlimited by Swiss Army on my left arm. So since what I had on was predominately Tommy I figured that's the smell she thought wasn't too bad. So today I went back and just put on Tommy. Her response: "I hate to tell you but that's not the smell I liked yesterday." So now I have to figure out if she liked the Swiss Unlimited or if I have to put on 3 parts Tommy and 1 part Swiss Unlimited

After going back and looking at the numerous I finally got it narrowed down to 7 colognes to choose from

    Swiss Unlimited by Swiss Army
Nautica Voyage by Nautica for Men
Michael Jordan Flight by Michael Jordan
    Versus Blue Jeans by Versace
    Curve Soul by Liz Claiborne
    Tommy by Tommy Hilfiger
    Rochas Man by Rochas

Which, if any, of these can be worn daily to work (7th grade teacher)? Possibly one for Spring/Summer and one for Fall/Winter?

Thanks again for all your help and advice!!!
