Thread: A Taste Of Heaven by Kilian
I can not wait to get this sample in the mail anyone who's tried this and their experience's with this cologne please comment
Looking for Hermessence Ambre Narguile and for TFPB Moss Breches (50ml bottle), willing to pay in cashdollars. PM me!
This is better compared to Back to Black?
very classy......oozes quality, without a doubt
It's mostly lavender and it's very smooth and little bit creamy with ninja longevity (up to 20 hours) and the only By Kilian worth owning for the price.
It's much better than Black to Black in my opinion and it's something you will definitely fall in love with.
Great works are performed, not by strength, but by perseverance.
I have a sample and I liked it, but was not in love with it. I have not tried Back to Black, but I do like Liaisons Dangereuses better.

Five that I am enjoying right now
1) Sel de Vetiver by The Different Company
2) Spiritueuse Double Vanille by Guerlain
3) Bois des Iles by Chanel
4) Devin by Aramis
5) Coromandel by Chanel
I like it a lot. Got the small travel pack. It feels a lot to me like a high end version of Caron Pour un Homme. But there's a bit Caron 3rd Man in it too I feel.
Nicely done. Great lavender. Long lasting on me.

I own the travel pack/atomizer and love it!
Smooth & classy lavender lite. One of the best from By Kilian, with insane longevity. But I do wish the lavender is a little stronger...
It's a foody licorice scent. It sort of reminded me of Eau Noire by Dior Homme, but less interesting.
Smells to me like caron puh + chanel antaeus, excellent lavender
My wife and I can't stand this. We like several other Kilian's and the quality is always awesome, but this is easily my least favorite Kilian.
It's a terrific modern lavender for an evening out but I really think they could have backed off on the synths a bit towards the back end - it tends to go on (and on, and on) a bit . . . not unlike myself, come to think of it.
I think this one and Back to Black are his two standouts in the line. Avoid Straight to Heaven, though
Current Top Favorites:
1) Portrait of a Lady original formula (EdP Frédéric Malle)
2) Giorgio for Men vintage/V.I.P. for Men (Giorgio Beverly Hills)
3) Dia Man vintage edt (Amouage)
4) Anat Fritz Original Formula and Classical (Anat Fritz) - tie
4) Lalfeorosa (O'driù) - tie
6) Les Nombres d'Or Vetyver (Mona di Orio)
7) Captain vintage (Molyneux)
8) Tzora (Anat Fritz)
9) Javanese Patchouli (Zegna) - tie
9) Monsieur de Givenchy vintage (Givenchy) - tie
9) Coeur de Vetiver Sacré (L'Artisan) - tie
9) Polo vintage (Ralph Lauren) - tie
9) Patou pour Homme Privé (Jean Patou) - tie
9) Oud Shamash (The Different Company) - tie
I own it and like it, but I can see where it is not for everyone.
I could take or leave A Taste of Heaven based on my testing. I'd prefer Back to Black over it.
Strangely, I'd prefer Straight to Heaven over both, to illustrate the subjectivity of the line.
This was actually my first scrubber ever..it made me feel ill and I had to get it off! I want to try Back to Black and Straight to Heaven but I'm a little gun shy now.
I found this thoroughly awful, and the second worst scent I've come across (Black Afgano noses it out). I much, much prefer others in the By Kilian line, as does my partner who I introduced to the brand. My better half was almost turned off this brand when we first sniffed Taste of Heaven, but persisted in trying some more samples and found some full bottles they liked enough to purchase.
I love it and would say it's in my top 5.
I've also received more compliments on ATOH than any other fragrance, which seems kind of strange to me for some reason.
Recently bought B2B and really enjoy that one as well.
Since this is the only By Killian that isn't uber-sweet to my nose, I am taking the plunge. I also like the non-soapy lavender here, so here goes! I'm getting the travel sprays. 4 x .25oz.
A seriously over priced House.
Not only do I prefer Back to Black over it but I prefer Gris Clair by Serge Lutens for a lavender scent as well.
My current top ten:
1. Oud Wood
2. Straight to Heaven
3. Epic Man
4. Santal 33
5. Tonka Imperial
6. Pure Malt
7. Jubilation XXV
8. L'air Du Desert Marocain
10. Terre D'Hermes
A Taste Of Heaven reminds to much of Caron Pour Un Homme which is way to much lavender for my taste. Back To Black on the other hand, is one of the finest tobacco fragrances I have ever smelled.
