Unhappy I'm looking for a good Mountain, Ice, crisp clean scent.

I have Himalya however the projection and longevity suck . I get an hour on both. I really like Silver Mountain Water. I grew up in snow towns and I love the smell. Any recs? Thanks.

Geir, but it's a winter scent IMHO. Minty flowers and a bit on the sweet side. unbelievably long lasting. If he made a Geir 'Dry' version, I'd be all over it. Geir Ness designed the fragrance to remind himself of living in Norway.

I guess the problem with the accord you describe is that the notes which make it up tend to predominantly be the ones that are shortlived. Which is a real shame. Would be great if someone managed to create a frag like that which had real staying power, although I suspect it would have to go too far down the synthetic route to achieve this.

SMW lasts longer than you think. Ask someone else to do the smell test for you. I've honestly got in to double digit hours on several occasions. It's weird. I think it projects a little away from the body so can be difficult for you to smell without getting your wrist right up to your nose? I used to think it lasted as little as 3 hours on some occasions but others smelled it and it would return many hours later out of the blue.

Anyway, SMW longevity is certainly strange. Great unique scent.

I really enjoy SMW but received an old bottle and was sent a fake bottle once. I know for a fact they dont come wrapped in plastic and the info in English isnt printed in oddly folded grey paper. I end up getting the samples in ten packs. I guess I'm just going to have to save some pennies so I can get my 2.5 of SMW.

Try Crystal Flacon or scent splits for a decant. Many of the users are on here and it's a cheaper way to buy a decent amount without forking out for a huge bottle.

For a cheapie, I certainly think the original Swiss Army cologne is a decent choice.

This was my experience Pour_Monsieur. I do prefer XS to Himalaya. However, I personally wouldn't call either of them icy (even though Creeds marketing would like you to think so). I do think they succeeded with in creating this vibe with SMW though, which I love. I didn't really get it either until I wore it one day while it was snowing. It was just so fitting.
