Thread: UPS problems

    Default UPS problems

Ship it USPS parcel post and avoid the UPS hassles. (I loathe UPS's "customer service") ... or use Fedex ground. That'd be my advice.

Umm... What? (parcel post might take 10 days, if you're talking about the transit time.)

No, I mean you replied to a thread that's almost 5 years old...

Actiasluna, KMF is referring to the age of the last post in this thread which you replied to, not to the shipping time. The post is five years old now! But, good information anyway - I always use USPS because it just works so much better.

Um... Yes. Right. It is always good information to know how to properly... ahem ... ship.

Wow--it is five years old. But just for reference, I've worked for UPS now for several years and perfumes are perfectly shippable as long as they are packed corrected and shipped Ground (NDA, 2DA, and 3 Day Select require special papers). UPS probably just made a mistake or it might have been leaking and was returned because of damage to the box.

Very glad to see we have somebody with real shipping knowledge here!

Don't be surprised if you get PMed into the next shipping debate. We're dreadfully short on expertise in that, and the arguments flare up every few months.

Regardless of what the 'rules' are, it's all a bunch of CRAP.

BECAUSE - just about every big retailer that sells fragrance - allows you to choose express shipping via AIR to ship it, including Saks, Barney's, etc.

In fact I ordered Bond No 9 and Kilians thru Saks and they came via AIR shipment. Forget if it was UPS or FEDEX, etc. but anything about endangering people lives is a bunch of crap.

    accidentally i went to UPS
Bcus i made an order through fragrancenet dot com
    they send it through USPS

ok, anyway, i went to ask information aBout my order
they told they couldn't do nothing with tracking numBer
i had already asked fragrancenet for tracking numBer But they don't give one at international orders
so she say she couldn't help me
she asked what was the order aBout, and i told her it was aBout fragrances
she told me that it is forBidden By the law export or import liquids and alcahol
so as soon as they receive it, they reject it.

    since january 05 2011
my order was shipped and i haven't receive it

fragrancenet sent it through USPS and i heard that when the order gets to mexico
it will Be handled By mexpost ( the equivalent to usps in mexico )
i'm going to call them even tho i know it could Be useless
    without having a tracking numBer

You just ran into a silly agent. Just take the package back and submit it again.

Most perfumes are alcohol-based and are quite flamable IF ignited. But they are not unstable or explosive. UPS and USPS and FedEx carry them overnight by air all the time.

I gues you haven't heard about the spate of mid-air explosions attributed to dangerous bottles of fragrances.

Come to think of it neither have I..
One if by land...two if by sea...three if by air....
    8÷2(2X2) = 1, but then 8÷2(2X2) = 16...??
