i'd have to go with D&G PH. It's sohpisticated, and yet its laid back and refreshing at the same time. you can pretty much wear it on any occasion.

Try the new Prada Amber PH Intense. I think it's much more versatile than the original.

    will do.

i should mention i live in the tropics but i'm never out in the heat anyway. i mostly wear cologne to the office, weekends, dates. never to the gym. i like them a little bit classy, quite modern, and on the casual side.

    Definitely Prada Amber.
I'm surprised no one mentioned Paul Smith's as a contender other than the original poster, since that's also a very versatile scent.
I have my serious doubts regarding Allure Homme as a versatile scent.
That one won't go well with 3 sprays on a humid hot weather for example and it can need a few more in wintertime, and i don't see it as a gym scent either as opposed to amber and/or story (used lightly)...so not as versatile.

Not sure I see Prada Amber as a versatile scent. It's soapy, so I guess you could argue all-season, but with a definite floral aspect that seems to suit it best for spring. From your list, I would go with Dolce and Gabbana Pour Homme. Bold enough for winter, but with a light touch, the citus should be fine in summer as well.
