Default When do you buy a replacement?

When do you buy a replacement for a bottle?

I'm halfway through my 50mL A*Men and debating whether or not to buy the 3.4oz refillable now or wait...any input on that would be nice too

With something as popular as A*Men, I wouldn't rush it. It's in no danger of being discontinued.

I backed up two bottles based on a irrational fear they would be hard to find. They aren't. I did backup my Habit Rouge Beau Cavalier which I knew was a limited edition that would (and has) become hard to find.

Only after it's completely finished unless in danger of being discontinued.

Unless it is going to be discontinued, I'd replace around 10-15% left.

I don't see a point on stocking up on popular frags when you have to store them, the juice could go bad, bottle could break somehow, or whatever other tragic things could happen to your fragrance bottle.

But the main reason, the money I spend on a replacement bottle could be used to acquire a new fragrance instead.
    Expect the unexpected.

I hardly ever start buying replacement only when I run out of a frag, in fact long before I am running out of a frag I already buy multiple backups

Maybe 1/2 full on some fragrances for me. I always have to have a bit of Gucci Envy lying around as I find it strangely soothing. I saw a bottle online going cheap so I jumped on it and have a good back up there. Others like Burberry I'll let run down as I've got no worries getting them.

Usually never, if I finish a bottle off, it's because I want it out of my collection, and I'm simply too much of a shnorrer to throw it out or give it to somebody. In any other instance, I have a wardrobe of around 100 frags (and still growing), so as long as I switch out and don't get too hooked on anything, I think I'm set for life. No more buying backups. There are always some exceptions though.

Still growing yup, Basenotes is making me poor.

My main concern is the fact that I can get the metal flask for around $65, where it is usually $90+. I kind of want to jump on it as I'm planning on replacing my rubber one with the 100mL metal one when the time comes. Saving $30-40 is pretty good to me haha

I don't really buy backups unless it's going to be discontinued or I know its a limited edition fragrance. Currently the only bottle I have two of is Pure Malt. Others I may rebuy when I run out, but they are all easily available and I can make that decision when the time comes.

If a fragrance is one that I really like I purchase a backup due to all the discontinuing.
