    Default Today I Bought - March 2011

    30ml Dior Addict, pure parfum
    7,5ml Chanel N°5, pure parfum

The Addict was 50% off, the SA told me
that it is being discontinued worldwide.
Dunno if that is completely true?!

My bottle of vintage Caron Muguet Du Bonheur arrived! It's very pretty, quite soft and soapy but I like it.

It came with a little stopper in the top (it's a splash bottle) is it advisable to keep the stopper on? It was a bit of a pain to take off, so I'm not sure it it's just meant to be there when it's 'new'

Lip Print- I usually keep the stopper in the splash bottle (if it came with one). I just feel it guards against accidental spillage and evaporation. You could decant some into a spray atomiser so you don't have to remove often. I sometimes use a cuticle pusher (you know- similar to a nail file but with a blunt end ) to help remove the little plastic stopper.

Today I blind bought Chapeau Bleu and Eau de Patou.

I bought both 2hand from a Danish seller,
so, I collected them today in person.

I'd reckon it's the same you got, mine is
    mid-80s ... I think? Smells divine!

Now we can be scent twins one of these days!

Does anybody know the Eau de Gucci Concentrée.
It doesn't say on the box nor the flacon what it's
a concentrate of - EdC; EdT or EdP?!

Yep! Older Chanels have the 'Eau de Toilette' above the Chanel-name.
Also L'Égoïste is no longer produced, only the Égoïste, without the 'L'.
As with most vintage juices, the older ones are stronger, more dense.

Have you gotten your Concentrée yet?!

Oh, your Diorella is definitely older than mine. I could only find the deoderant spray in that vintage. I am wearing mine today and I adore it. Close race between that and the Dioressence.

Well was going to get some samples but noticed that Profumi di Pantelleria seems to be defunct, and there was a nearly-full bottle of Jailia on Ebay for $35 so I got that as a backup, instead of samples. 'Cause I do love that Jailia and pretty sure it's going to be my favorite in the summer. So one in the closet which means I have backup of two things now, and actually kinda want a backup of the Barbara Bui too since I can get it for $10 and it's kind of a small bottle and light smell so presumably will run out. But I don't wear that one as much so still considering that.

Samples perhaps with next paycheck - that makes more sense in any case as really the only one I strongly want is the Datura Blanche because I dropped the sample tube and didn't get to really try it. If I wait for some weeks the "want" list will get longer.

    There is not much difference
    between vintage and recent
    Diorella, so it doesn't matter.

    Diorella vs. Dioressence ...
    No competition whatsoever;
    Dioressence for the win!

Ducky, I have the one on the right. I tend to think of Diorella and Dioressence as sisters, only one is the good girl and one is the bad girl.

Dimi, gorgeous pictures as well, and I'm drooling over the Shalimar extrait. My mother bought one precious bottle of that when I was very young, and I can still remember the gorgeous scent. I got to wear it on a couple pulse points to my senior prom, and perhaps I snuck a few dabs other times, don't tell!

Some arrivals I hadn't posted Maja, Femme, and Bowling Green arrived as did Hiroko Koshino (very nice!)
Recieved a bottle of Emeraude cologne (modern) as I had requested (Grams asked what I wanted -& she can't afford much) which upon skin trials I really like (at least in this weather/temp).
Also $25 ebay card +$40 cash -crying to be properly used in pursuit of perfume(s).
