Thread: Pine scent:

  1. #1

    Default Pine scent:

To finish off my small collection of "fresh" scents (green, citrus, aquatic), I need a nice pine scent that's not too strong. I have Swiss Army and Jordan which are green grassy/leafy scents, but not "tree green".

Any recommendations ? Preferably something that's readily available and not too expensive (i.e. Creed !).

Pino Silvestre, although it has not Pine listed in the notes, of feel very much like pine, and can be had for less than 15 bucks for the 3.3 oz bottle in ebay. Krizia Uomo and Aqua di Selva also are good inexpensive options.
If you want something more sophisticated but more expensive, try Arboretum by Le Prince Jardinier.
If you want more fir than pine I would recommend Sung Homme, it smells like christmas tree.

Can't go wrong with Pino Silvestre, and it's cheap too. Plus, I think "Pino Silvestre" means "pine forest" in Italian.

The other piney scent that's cheap and I love is Agua Brava by Puig.

You can get big 3 or 4 oz. bottles of either for under $20 online

Pino Silvestre is named after Pinus Silvestrus, the Latin name for a genus of evergreen.

+1 Agua Brava. A slightly smoother Pino Silvestre with a tiny touch of leather. Inexpensive and likeable.

You might try Rochas Eau pour Homme, pine + citrus.

Your link goes to a scent that I have a hard time understanding the name. It's really odd with all those numbers under other numbers!

The classics that come to mind are the English ones. Blenheim Bouquet and to a lesser extent, Wellington and Crown Town & Country.

The more I wear Quorum, which is practically every other day, the more I notice the pine in it.

Quorum is not a fresh scent, though. More like a brutal, heavy moss frag.

Versace Green Jeans is my favourite pine scent - it's fresh and citrusy as well. It can still be found around the net.
Agua Brava and Pino I really don't like much.

Yes, it's a weird name, but that doesn't mean it's not worth trying ha
I just got the sample, however I decided I didn't like pine enough to get a full bottle

There must be 4 different threads on this Men's Fragrance Forum with "Pine" in the titles! I've been looking at all of them.
I still can't remember where I saw the Arboretum by La Prince Jardiner...maybe on a blog? But when I find it again I'll copy the description. Sounded great!
