Default New Tauer Fragrance - "Eau d’Epices"

At least I think it's new. We got a chance to test an early version of this last year when Andy was at the Scent Bar. At that time it was "Formula X" or words to that effect. I recall liking it a lot more than Orange Star.

    Top
    Cardamom, Mandarin, Cinnamon, Clove, Coriander

    Mid
    Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Orris, Incense

    Base
Tonka Bean, Labdanum Ciste, Ambergris, Vetiver

Funny he would call it Formula X, because some of the notes look a bit like Clive Christian X.

I seem to recall it being out awhile. Saw it in Scent Bar right after introduced I think. Hard to say...couple months ago maybe?

    X
Top notes of bergamot, spices cardamom, ginger, and juniper berry.
Heart notes of sambac oil, jasmine hedione, pimento oil, and orris.
Base notes of amber, vetiver oil, cedarwood, moss, cinnamon, and vanilla.

NST had it listed for release in September 2010. And if you have a look at the Tauer blog, he certainly released some then - but also seemed to "re-mix" it straight away. http://www.tauerperfumes.com/blog/2010/09/

    Top
An Indian basket of spices with cinnamon, cardamom, clove and corriander with red mandarines.

    Middle
An opulent heart of orange blossom, jasmine, orris root and incense.

    Base
A woody cistus ladaniferus resin, softened with ambergris, tonka beans and vetiver.

A spicy unisex one of a kind.

Natural oils from spices such as cinnamon bark and cardamom orchestrate an opening that is vibrant, and warm. Citrus (red mandarins) soften the spices and prepare for the orange blossoms that bloom in l’eau d’épices together with another white flower: Jasmin. It is the absolute from Egyptian jasmine that softens the orange blossom absolute. Frankincense essential oil leads over to a classical Tauer base chord featuring ambergris, tonka, hints of vetiver and the woody warm perfume of cistus ladaniferus resin, resembling a walk in a pineta.

L’eau d’épices is a unisex scent, perfect for cool winter nights and developing wonderfully under a warm midyear sun.
