You will probably hear it a thousand times, but, Carnal Flower by Frederic Malle. Fantastic scent and reported to have the highest concentration of tuberose in the industry.
My skin gobbles up scents. Fracas was my dream signature frag but it lasted only 1h on my skin. Can anyone suggest other tuberose scents that might have a bit more hold or am I condemned to smell great frags on other people?
Thanks a ton

Carnal Flower

Yeah, I need to try that one but it's soooo expensive and so unavailable where I live...
Well if not Carnal Flower then perhaps (cringe) Giorgio or Amarige.Both are too overwhelming for me, but if you can't smell Fracas after an hour...
+1 for Carnal Flower. Also worth a try; By Kilian's Beyond Love & Carolina Herrera by Carolina Herrera.

Amarige! My skin also 'eats' scents, so I love this tuberose monster
I have also problem with Fracas. Watching this thread carefully..............
Fracas? was it your nose or your skin? Rather than resorting to Amarige, spray on clothes.
Anyway, in the Amarige direction, Narcotic Venus (Nasomatto) smells equally potent (and equally bad).

My skin EATS Carnal Flower in a couple of hours, but seems to last over a day on most people. Profumum Tuberosa is similar to Fracas and one spray overwhelmed my SOTD that day and lasted well over two showers! Powerful stuff! I personally cannot stand Fracas and other smell-alikes. Tuberoses that I love that actually last on my skin are Tubereuse Criminelle and Beyond Love.
Tuberose is my favorite note, but it's also something that people become anosmic to rather quickly. So be sure to get a second opinion as to whether or not Fracas is actually disappearing on you that quickly. You could also try the Fracas parfum, or the new tuberose by Piguet; Douglas Hannant. I reviewed it in the directory. Carnal Flower is my all-time favorite, but it's very different from Fracas, as is Amarige with it's soapy and green accords.
Tubéreuse couture is powerful and good too, it's more linear and predictible than Tubéreuse criminelle who has much variations depending air and skin condition on me.

IMO, Amirage is mimosa, bigtime.
A nice, klonk you on the head, creamy tuberose monster is Cartier Panthere. Parfum extrait is highly recommended.
Now, for a dry, slightly tart/green tuberose, try Creed-Indiana Tubereuse.
Another major tuberose is Jil Sander no.4, but it is almost impossible to find these days.

I think you need TUBEROSA by Profumum Roma
Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Tuberosa is a good one if you like a sweet, almost candy-like approach.
Those I was talking about could be more amber/floral.
Here's one I almost forgot about. It is so cold, it makes me think of the color blue.
Whereas, Tuberosa is more in the pink range. Just like Roberto has it!
If you've ever had this one, you might know what I mean;
Noix de Tubereuse-Miller Harris
Notes;
Tuberose leaves, tonka bean, orris amber, wild green clover, mimosa, violet, fig

I wore Fracas over 13 years ago and it was great on my difficult skin. It lasted all day. I'm almost at the end of Carnal Flower. Love it, and it's more authentic than Fracas, but it does fade faster. On days that I care, I bring the bottle with me and reapply. I don't think that's a problem for a good scent that is all natural or has a lot of the natural ingredient such as Carnal Flower. My next tuberose scent will be Cepes and Tuberose by Aftelier. Goes on earthy mushroom and gorgeous tuberose and after 30 min or so, earthy turns to richness. Love it!
So many people hate Amarige! Sigh. It has such a bad rep and is certainly strong, but I still love it
I adore tuberose , Carnal Flower and Fracas for me are on top of every other tuberose scent but from the longevity perpective the things are a little bit different. On my skin , Beyond Love from Killian, Tuberosa and SL's TC stay very long, then comes TC from PG ,but CF has an average lasting time, same for Fracas.
My favorite is Carolina Herrera. If you can find 273 by fred hayman, that one is worth a try as well.
Turbo charged tuberose in Datura Noir SL, at least on my skin!
Wow, you guys are great! I retried Fracas today doing all the right things (using a bit more and moisturizing 20m before) and it's lasted almost 4h, so that's a lot better
