I just won this 75ml after shave on the Bay.
I hope it's as strong as recent Eau de Toilette.

It'll fit nicely into my little family of egoists.
The big Cologne Concentrée I got just a few
days ago. I traded it with our very own Daniel.

Duckie- come visit me in the US South and I'll take you to OUR flea markets were you can buy: aspirin stolen from local stores, pirated Narcocorrido CDs, pit bull puppies, daylilies and anything you might want with a Confederate flag on it!

Duckie, I may need to move to Copenhagen! Jaw dropped when I saw what you got at flea market!

Yesterday I bought small 1.5 or 2.5 decants from The Perfume Court (15% off for April Fool's Day) of

    Tom Ford Black Orchid
    The Party in Manhattan
    Dior Hypnotic Poison
    MDCI La Belle Helene
Muscs Koublai Khan (this one I'm a bit nervous about because it's so polarizing but I do love every Serge Lutens I've ever come across and do love musk so...have to give it a whirl)

I also got a tiny sample of:
Vero Profumo Onda pure parfum, which is supposed to be the closest thing currently available to Guerlain's legendary and discontinued Djedi. One of these days I'm gonna break down and pay the $20 for a tiny sample of Djedi.

First of all I am AMAZED at the above pics from The Duc!!! WOW! What a FInd!! Wish we had "flea markets" like that around here! I visited my fave place in Grandview, Earth Elements, and picked up Peony Bliss. I thought it so refresshing an original. Got home and realized it is Bliss. As in the fragrance from Bliss Spa. Oh well. For $19 no big loss. Still prefer Paeonia from l'Occitane, tho, for peony.

My blind buy of Gianfranco Ferre Bergamotto Marino arrived today. I was on the lookout for another fragrance to cut the 100 degree summer heat, and I may have found a winner in this. Bergamot!! Yeah!! An EDC, but it is rather tenacious.
So I have Tuscan Soul, Sur le Nil, Eau de Lalique and now Bergamotto Marino that fit that bill for me. Not ground breaking, but simple, clear and cool in the summer heat (heat like opening the oven door after baking and feel that blast of heat hitting your face - no fragrance should have to stand up to that, but I now have a few).

Bergamotto Marino is avail. for around 30 bucks, and is the last Pierre Bourdon creation before he retired. Worth sniffing if you would like a simple, easy to wear eau type fragrance.

Cello, that Gianfranco Ferre Bergamotto Marino sounds great. May need to pick that up for NYC sweltering summer days! I just bought mini bottle of Crystal Noir because apparently I must try everything that more than one BNer refers to as a femme fatale scent and some vintage Estee Lauder Private Collection. About to pull the trigger on some Guerlain Cologne du 68 for my bro-in-law, who fell in love with it after I gave him my decant.

Well, I caved in, and I bought Chanel Chance Eau Tendre today. I've been looking for a spring scent for a while, and having tested a number of other options (including MDCI La Belle Helene, Keiko Mecheri Isles Lointanes, etc., which left me underwhelmed), this somehow felt right--gently floral, delicately fruity, and only a touch of powderiness in the drydown. I loved the original Chance, but not the flanker that followed, so I almost surprised myself by liking Eau Tendre.

Cello, I have exactly the same impression about Bergamotto Marino. It's one of my go-to scents on hot Summer days, not groundbreaking but very pleasant.

My purchases -which arrived yesterday- are Lyric Woman and L'Heure Bleue parfum

    **Squeeee**

Also a few FM samples, including Le Parfum de Therese, which makes me agree Diorella & LPdT are sisters. Think I actually prefer LPdT, which is more melon/fruit, and less contrast between the ripe & 'minty' aspects.

My last "scent rescue" was March 30 although I only posted it April 1. Soooo technically I haven't bought anything this month.
LOL! This is a rare occassion indeed- so I'm going to keep going with this trend. I'm going to save my $ for goodies at the May 7 meet-up in San Francisco, and my 21 year old frig /freezer is dying, so that must be replaced post haste. I will come visit & get my vicarious thrills readin' this thread.

I, too, took advantage of TPC's April Fool's Day 15% off sale and snagged 5ml decants of:

Robert Piguet Visa (Reissue) -- I chickened out on the immediate FB purchase. I'm doing the decant first.
Serge Lutens Boxeuses and Muscs Koublai Khan
    Tauer L'Air du Desert Marocain
    Parfum d'Empire Wazamba

And, today, a 100ml bottle of Organza Indecence (reissue).

Massive respect for your teenage son! Breath of God is divine, enjoy!

I'd been so good and not bought anything since Christmas... so I feel totally justified in blowing my month's food budget online on:

    Lalique Encre Noire EdT 50ml
Gucci Pour Homme EdT 30ml (I heard someone say that it made them smell like "a jerk with a tan" so, being a lady with snow-pale skin, I couldn't resist)

Buying a Dior product is never a waste if money.

But, with that said, I never buy expensive lotions.
Us perfumistas usually use them to amplify our EdT,
but a cheap scentless lotion can enhance the life of
    a fragrance just as well.
Look at it this way; you are now only a vintage deo
spray and stick away from having a complete vintage
Fahrenheit collection, and that is not a bad thing to
    have!

My self- imposed hiatus from buying ended quickly today when I won a half of a 50 ml bottle of Kenzo Jungle Elephant Eau de Perfum on Ebay. But I had one of those discount rewards from past purchases, so net cost was just over $3.

I happened to find an golden-black boxed Jicky EdP in a store in Vienna, which I had to have (since it is the only concentration of Jicky I do care for). I am also getting a "very very good deal" 100 ml of Ubar soon And then, I am also expecting Mitsouko EdP to be in my mail today or next Monday.

knit_at_nite, you are crackin me up. I've been on a self-imposed break as well, but for $3, how do you not bite? Good job!

I am living/buying vicariously through all of you. I may break down and buy some samples today tho. I really have to try en passant since I've been on a lilac kick. I'm hearing it's a great example, not as true as some of the other lilacs, but a beautiful impression. Kind of like how you can have a photograph of water lilies, or you can have a Monet. Same subject, different presentations.
