Wearing Tea Rose by the Perfumer's Workshop for SnS today. Still dealing with the cold or major allergies, so not really able to smell all that well. Wore a bit more than usual, but no complaints so far from co-workers.

    Good Morning Everybody!

Good news.....I got my first call from an agent asking to show my home....today! I'm so excited. Sofie & I are cleaning.....again. The sun is shining, the house is literally glowing.

Say a little prayer, would you?

Now, on to fragrance. Florals aren't my absolute favorite category. I have them, especially rose fragrances, but usually because they have some woody note I really love. It's the dry down of floral fragrances I truly love.

Last night I "test drove" FUTUR, to see if I would enjoy wearing it today. I "like" it but I love the leathery dry down. When I woke up this morning, I found the bottle tipped over (don't worry, no spillage) on my dresser. That tells me that Bella was up there rubbing up against the bottle last night. SHE liked the fragrance. So funny! It's the first time she's ever "marked" a fragrance. I need to be careful though, that could have been a disaster.

So...what to wear today? I have to think about how the scent will linger in the house today. Don't want to leave a candle burning for the showing.

    What's a scent from 1928? or the 1920 - 1930 period?

I'll do some research & hop back to see if anybody made a suggestion.

Baking bread or cookies always leaves a house smelling deliciously homey for the prospective buyers.
L'Artisan Bois Farine would go along with that theme.

    Good morning you all.
Terrible thing happened this morning. I tried to vote in the basenotes awards. I got the first question, what's your favorite perfume of all time.

I no longer have any favorites. I have a couple I wear more often than others, but no favorites any more. I closed the browser and slunk away.

What does this mean? Is it good or bad? Dunno.

Anyway, not only can't a choose a favorite of all time, I may be having some trouble choosing a sotd. Well, whatever it ends up being, it'll be floral.

RHM wishing you great house luck!

Neil Morris Midnight Flower, in synch for the Sniff N Speak Day. So far (half hour in) more like a nice glass of orange juice, not what I associate with midnight at all, not really floral yet but very pleasant.

Good morning all! It's been a long time, but I think I may be around a little more in the future.

Today I'm in a cardigan that is well-scented with Passage d'Enfer from yesterday.

There's actually a story that goes with it....

Last time I moved I misplaced an entire box of fragrances. I had pulled boxes out of storage looking for it, opened up a bunch that were unlabeled or had labels for different things... to no avail. Finally today I looked at the box sitting in my living room with a bread board as a lid and a bunch of important papers on top which I need to deal with for taxes and... there it has been, in the way, in the middle of my living room, all this time. That'll teach me for living with unpacked boxes I guess.

But - I was so happy and excited to have found it. I couldn't decide what to wear . Ended up spraying on Passage d'Enfer generously. Perhaps a little over zealously.

When I got to my friend's last night I was put straight into a tub full of epsom salt to try to dilute the scent. But the bath was dreamy so all was good.

And I have my perfumes again! And just in time - I've gone through two thirds of a bottle of Ambre Sultan in the meantime, and needed something different for spring.

Smooches for you, sweetie. I've run out of thank-you clicks this morning, but you folks do know how grateful I am for your sisterhood and brotherhood. I knew this situation with commissioners was taking a toll on my sleep and digestion, but obviously it's derailed my brain, too, when I forget about SnS Saturday. I'll just mention I'm developing some media using journalistic principles and practices to deal with these small-town bureaucrats in order to assert my rights and to assist other property owners across the U.S. When that material can be viewed online in a couple weeks, I'll provide a link. ’Nuf said!

Florals! I do adore florals. Determined to experience a new one this morning, I was delighted to discover the long-discontinued Fresh Violet Moss amongst the gifties from flathorn (lordie, what can I send her to let her know how grateful I am?). Being prone to violet anosmia, I've been straining and training my nose to develop receptors to appreciate the note. I've made some progress, and this application of VM is advancing that quest. It's lovely and natural and not at all candied sweet like some formulations. My favorite violet scents to date are Bois de Violette and Violette Precieuse. (Yeah, right, let's make some of the most fleeting scents among the more expensive, eh?)
Today's SnS reminds me … how pleasing are violets.

Apparently the Passage d'Enfer leftovers on my sweater were still strong, so off with the sweater, and into Jicky EdT. He said "see, it can be kind of pretty when it is less strong." In other words, I like that one better.

Then after my workout and shower on to Diorissimo, because it is bold and unique and I have the shower gel. I got an "I kind of like that one" out of it.

Still so happy to have my fumes back.
