Santa Maria Novella Nostalgia has top notes of petrol, rubber, burnt clutch, and leather.

I never made it to the drydown but apparently the rest of the fragrance is much less interesting, as often happens when you eventually get used to something new...

    Seriously though, congratulations.

Ugh. Not THAT one. Smelling 'dated' is probably way better than smelling Gucci by Gucci Sport. It seems your taste in cars far exceeds that of fragrance? But do forgive me, I'm getting ahead of myself here. Are you looking for personal fragrance or a car fragrance?

    lol

for the longest time I had a problem with it as well, until i smelled some new Gucci leather. that lemon and fig tries to recreate that overpriced leather accord. give it a second look.

Patricia de Nicolai has a Vetiver de Java candle which would also be perfect (it's a leather, not a vetiver), but I don't know if it's available also in parfum d'ambiance.

Tuscan Leather would be the car theme solution. IMHO I might buck the Bn trend and wear Guerlain - Imperiale Tonka. Just for the drive away from the dealer with my fav CD playing.

if you follow that sort of logic, then a forum dedicated for fragrances is silly

we're silly for frags, so we have a right to be silly for topics related to frags

I'd layer a bit of Paris Hilton over a ton of Brut mixed with new auto leather. It's a Lady Killer.

My X3 (pre owned) was scented with Coromandel. I ended up liking it a lot more on the car than on me.

Had to use German, because I don't speak Dutch. I reckoned it would be close enough now that everyone is a member of the EU
