I was just thinking about this based on recent trips to Barneys in NY and Chicago, where I ended up getting four bottles (2 for me, 2 for the wife).
Personally, when I go to a store to sniff some scents and try out a bunch of things, I have no problem buying from them, because I feel like they are providing a service, and there is a value in that.
Conversely, when I already know I love something, I'll buy it online if the discount is worth it.
Do you tend to try in a store and then walk out and buy online to save some bucks, or do you buy in the store (at least the first bottle)?

Yes, bien sūr!
Theres no online market here and buying internationally is a hassle customs-wise so i have to buy brick and mortar but even if there was a convenient ane cheaper online source I'd still buy B&R as I like to develop a rapport with the S&A as I do with motly everything else i buy unless the difference is greater than 15-20%. I want to support the locl economy but said local economy has a tedency to inflate prices recently.
I tend to buy in store, especially during trips to NYC or Paris. But then, I also buy books and CDs in physical stores now; I used to buy books and CDs online as a student, but now I'm getting older.
It's cheaper to buy retail here than most online sellers. And more fun.
Yes, especially if I want it bad enough and it's very hard to find.
Yes, if it is hard to find. Meaning that it never shows up here at the Marketplace or ebay.
Yes, I always feel bad trying on scents and not buying from them. If I get any samples with my purchase and I like them, then, I might buy it online.
