Thread: New to Aquatics

    Default New to Aquatics

I am looking for an aquatic.
I am trying to avoid Acqua di Gio since my friend wears it. Instead, I'm considering Bvlgari Aqva, Versace Pour Homme, and D&G Light Blue. I don't know which way to go with it.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. If you have any other suggestions those would be appreciated as well.

    Welcome!

From your list, Bulgari Aqua would be the only one worth looking at IMO.

But I would look for something a little different. I would suggest:

    Guy Laroche Horizon
    Hugh Parsons (Blue)
    Aramis New West for Him

What volley2 said. I've been a fan of aquatics since I've been into fragrances, and these two are my favorites.

I have and wear Light Blue, VpH, and AdG occasionally, but not nearly as much as Aqva and Bleu.

While it isn't technically considered an aquatic, I'd also recommend sampling Allure Edition Blanche. It's a great fresh scent.

Finally, if price isn't a concern, check out Erolfa or Millesime Imperial by Creed.

Mr. Golfer beat me to it. MI is the epitome of "aquatic" to me.

Thanks for all of the help. I was also wondering, how common are each of these?
Could any of these be used as a signature scent?
On a side note, what could I use as a signature scent? It doesn't necessarily have to be an aquatic. I own Le Male, Armani Code, and CK Euphoria. I am looking for something I can wear daily as a signature scent. I am 18 in high school and will be moving off to university.

Once again thanks for your opinions

Unfortunately I think you will find the idea of a "signature scent" an unpopular one here...I personally would say to get a wide array of fragrances and wear them if you like them. What I have done in the past is attempt to create a signature scent association with either specific people or specific situations, but, one of the true beauties of this art is the vast array of options. I much prefer my signature to be "that great smelling guy" than associated to one specific scent. As far as answering your question, however, it appears you are currently using mostly designer. If that is the case, I recommend checking in to Chanel Egoiste.

I am inclined to agree with you. It is better to be the "great smelling guy". Signature isn't the word I should have used. What I am trying to say is something that can be worn daily. The ones I own seem to be a little to special occasion, rather than one I can wear to school. A fragrance I would reach for over the others if I can't decide.

I do this with Bvlgari Aqva, Allure Homme Edition Blanche, Bleu de Chanel, Erolfa, and Silver Mountain Water all the time. The trick is deciding between these.

+1 on the SMW and New West... those are both great!

Another suggestion would be Givinchey - Insense Ultramarine, just go light on the trigger.

If you find yourself by a Sephora, Kenzo -- L'eauParKenzo Pour Homme is worth a try.

Bvlgari Aqva is nice. Cool Water, of course. Horizon. Bvlgari Aqva Marine might be for you if you like things like ADG. Haven't made my mind up about it myself but it certainly is very aquatic and smells fairly nice and fresh.
Kenzo PH if you are able to survive the first blast.

you can try: Versace pour homme eau fraiche
    Chanel Allure sport
    Bvlgari aqua or aqua marine
Creed Millesime Imperial (if you're not too budget conscious)

all of these are really great IMHO

The Bulgari is one of the best aquatics IMO.

Could also try Kenzo pour homme or L'eau d'Issey.

If your wallet is fat then Creed's Erolfa is also good.
