Default Beat the heat: Help me decide

I'm looking for my next scent that's going to thrive in the hot weather coming up in the east coast, VA climate I live in. Currently looking into Guerlain Vetiver, Dior Dune, and I've heard Ungaro's Apparition Intense (I like anise/liccorice) may work in the heat. Also open to any other suggestions or help.
Bottles I have: Live Jazz, John Varvatos, Drakkar Noir.

I live in DC and just today, for the near-90, humid day, I got out my Sycomore by Chanel, my favorite perfume for the heat. (It's available at the Chanel boutique in Tysons corner galeria mall). It is a vetiver, and in general, for the heat I like vetivers, because they are fresh and usually very durable. So in your set, I'd go for the Guerlain Vetiver, or for most other vetivers around (Givenchy, Lubin, Dyptique, etc etc).

Certainly the Guerlain Vetiver that you are considering; and the Live Jazz you already have, should serve you well in the heat.

Plus one on the Mugler Cologne and the YSL Pour Homme.

How do other people usually react when they smell Vetiver on you? Obviously my opinion of it is more important since I'm the one wearing it, but I'm always curious to know if other people enjoy the scent I'm wearing as much as I do.

Not too sure if it fits your taste, and it is on the pricy side, but I love Creed's Virgin Island Water on swelteringly hot summer days. If the notes sound like they may appeal to you, it may be a good one.

Thanks to everyone for the advice! I really appreciate all the feedback.
I'm leaning towards the Guerlain Vetiver, but my only concern is that it may smell "too old for me."
I'm 18, and although I have different, perhaps classier tastes, than most my peers, I've often read in reviews that GV has a very "old" scent about it. Is this something I should be concerned about or simply a result of people looking at the year of the frag's. creation?

My best advice, is go and smell it. I just never buy the 'old man / old lady' thing.

If you can, track down Vetiver Frozen, and Vetiver Extreme for a slightly different take.

A couple of "beat the heat" fragrances that I fall back on are:
    1) Eau de Lalique - cheap and easy herbal cologne, unisex for sure with a lovely little drydown that lasts longer than many summer colognes.
    2) Ferre Bergamotto Marino - another cheapy that won't be a difficult blind buy for the summer heat, but yet won't have you smelling like everyone else.

    CDG 2 might suit you.

I ultimately decide to go with Vetiver by Guerlain after checking through all of the suggestions. Hopefully I've made the right choice for me, but worse come to worse at least I'll have a classic to compare other scents to.
Thanks again to everyone who tuned in to help me out. There were some really good selections in the list and hopefully when I get a bit more cash I can add some of the others ones to my collection too
