Thanks - I enjoyed that - your photos are wonderful. Is this wearable by a woman or distinctly masculine ?

Those are excellent photos, very well conceived shots.

The MDCI website said (or used to, anway) that a sample set purchase could only be deducted from a FB purchase within countries where there was no retail distribution in place already.

    Ah, found it:

Important notice: the price paid for sample sets is deductible in full
from the price paid for any catalogue item purchased directly from us, with the exception of destinees residing in countries where parfums MDCI are available locally:
France, USA, Canada, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy
    Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Cyprus, Kazakstan.
    See list of current retailers

    Is this no longer true?

I think it could totally be worn by a woman - is has some traditionally masculine notes, but blended in such a way that could easily be pulled off on a woman.

Hmm, perhaps it's no longer the case. I bought the sample set back in 2009, so the policy may have changed since then. I should probably edit that part then.

Thanks! It's a Nikon D90 with a Tamron SP90 Macro. It was a pretty simple setup too, with just one strobe.

Mimi- I own a bottle of that amazing fragrance and wear it regularly. It smells pretty good on this mom of a teenager.

Wow nice. I debated between the SP90 and Sigma 150ex. I got the 150ex for the distance.
I've got a 5d mkII. Got it BNIB in a swap it a few months ago for my older 1d mkII.

Well color me jealous of your camera! When I worked for Golf Channel, that's what the staff photogs used. I've used the Sigma and enjoy it, but the Tamron was destined to be a portrait lens, so 150 was too much, especially since the D90 isn't a full frame camera so it's multiplied. My second major in college was photography in the film days, so I only reluctantly bought some digital cameras - my pride and joy is my classic Hasselblad 501c/m. I'm glad I did though. Glad to find another photographer on the boards! Do you have a portfolio out there?

Yes you're right. The 150 on a cropped sensor would be too long. Good point.
Im not too familiar with medium format but that Hasselblad looks amazing. I checked out some photos taken with it on pbase.com - superb.
I do not have a portfolio unfotunately. I am a member of Fred Miranda & Photography on the Net forums but thats about it. Most of my photos, snap shots I would say, go to my travel blog & face book. Need to start getting my pictures on the net properly.

Great photos (as usual!) jrd - beautiful stuff.

More people need to see these - especially expensive glossy industry type people who have stuff that needs to be photoprahed and a budget!

Thanks all! I just put up a couple impressions of most of the Odin line last night, and will post photos of Auguste Esprit de Cuire this weekend. mr. reasonable, I've got my fingers crossed - I do some photography for a couple houses right now, but it would be awesome to be able to do more. Maybe I'll start soliciting more.
