Default Recommend this 19-year old something!

    Hi all!

I'd recently developed this interest in fragrances so I ordered some samples off Luckyscent. I realised quickly that I was loved the quirky nature of CdG fragrances, and I soon made my first buy, CdG 2 Man, which I really, really like except for the rather lackluster longevity.

However, my girlfriend isn't too crazy about the scent of CdG 2 Man - she thinks it's more suited to someone older. I think it's suitable to wear to the office where I intern at on weekdays, but I need something than can be really wearable under the following circumstances:

    1. Out on weekends when I'm just out and about having fun
    2. In the blistering summer-all-year-long heat of Singapore

Other fragrances I really enjoyed were Odeur 53 and Six Scents: Damir Doma.

I've heard good things about Kyoto and Ouarzazate, which is why I'm expecting both samples in the mail soon.

    Got any recommendations?

    Welcome Junwen to the basenotes.
I have not tried none of you have!
    Many Choices you have:
    Aramis New West For Him
    Creed Silver Mountain Water
    Kenzo Power

If you want something more masculine:
    Opium Pour Homme
    Lapidus Pour Homme

    I like all of them.

Joop Jump. Girls in your age love it.

Gucci PH II -> Both of you may love it.

Also try Chanel Allure, Allure Homme Sport and Blanche Edition.

I'll second the suggestion about your gf. Take her shopping and get something you both enjoy.

Isn't Creed to much of 'niche'? Just kidding. To be avoided.

What I really like is a designer scent which style is perfect, beyond any 'niche' weiredness - wich Creed has not, btw. Givenchy Insense. Not the 'ultramarine' but the yellow stuff found on ebay and other occasions. It is youthful, flirty, complex but readable, dry and fruity all at once. It suits the smell of skin like few else, even with some transpiration going on, no dissonaces. Highly recommended and a classic too.

I'm (kind of) inclined to agree with your GF here. I'm 51 and tend to wear mine when I'm pottering about the house and garden doing 'Manly' stuff (no, not THAT!! ).
