Default Money spent on fragrances vs money spent on clothes

What would you say is your ratio between money spent on

Fragrances vs Clothes (including shoes, accessories but not jewellry)?

For me, over the past couple of years... probably 1:10 to 1:12.

I don't take stock of clothes versus fragrance. Hard to quantify this.

    Both are an absolute necessity!

If I had to take a stab, probably around 3:1. Factor out the horribly over-priced concert T-shirts, and maybe more like 4:1.

hmm probably like 10 : 1 haha, because i go to the gym everyday so i just wear white T's everyday, no point wasting 2 shirts in one day, (buy in bulk, 6 shirts for 17 bucks) haha. I get a new pair of shoes maybe once every10 months or so. Most of my money for clothes go to emporio armani boxer briefs for those nights. ;]

My money spent on fragrances vs money spent on clothes ratio is like 1:1, but it have to change. Variety and quality of clothes is much more important for everyday life than colognes especially when it comes to women.

I havnt spent a cent on clothes in maybe a year. On the flipside ive spent at least $1000 on cologne. I dont care about my clothes too much. Ide actually rather wear thrift store fits than i would designer clothes. As long as my face looks good and i smell great theres no need to show off with my clothes

I don't keep up with clothing styles, only wear what is comfortable and, as a stay at home mom, do not need to dress up every day. I use clothing until it wears out or stops looking right (shrinkage etc.)

So I spend much less on clothing than on fragrance. I'm sure that will change somewhat when I return to work, but I will still probably spend more on fragrance.

More on fragrance than on clothes. But now that I've acquired some very good fragrances, my sartorial wardrobe needs an upgrade. Damn you, good fragrances...

Wow, interesting... I spend way more on clothes, but I can go a long time without buying clothes if I don't need anything. I am currently buying frags on a more regular basis but unless you're buying exclusively high end niche products it isn't nearly as expensive as clothes. I mean, a designer pair of pants can cost $150-$300 or more while the same brand's frags are $50. I shop discounters too, but even the last shirt I got at Marshalls was $50 (reg $150).

IMO, clothes, shoes and grooming have more of an effect on how you are perceived than frags. For me, a big part of my interest in frags comes from the differences in how you are perceived by others while wearing them... I find it amusing.

Good question... Before this year, it'd have been 1:10ish as I'd maybe buy 2 scents in a year, whereas I'd buy clothes or footwear every pay day... This year has gone full turn. Hardly bought any clothes. But been buying up to 6 frags in a month. I even bought a shirt a couple of months back to suit the frag I'd just bought!!

    Currently it'd be around 6:1

    Fragrance to clothing/accessories ratio?

    1:7, I think.

On a side note, the money I was supposed to be saving on clothes (lost weight a couple months back and need to buy fitted jeans, etc that was to be spent on Father's Day - waiting on deals/bargains for that weekend) end up going to Creed Aventus 120mL flask. lolz

I don't spend a lot on clothes as my wardrobe is mainly t-shirts, polo shirts, cargo shorts, khaki pants, and jeans. Shoes is a different story. I only wear Ecco brand shoes because I'm flat footed and they're the most comfortable brand for me. Problem is that they cost $150 to $300 a pair so I guess it's about even with fragrances.

Are the newer Eccos durable as far as sole wear? I have bought a few pairs in the past but found their sole wore out really quick, one pair Ecco even replaced for me because they wore so fast. I have a pair of sandals with a black sole that seem very durable, the Eccos I had that wore fast had light-colored soles...

Gonna start buying clothes more now than fragrances. I've way too much large clothes that I feel like I'm swimming inside them.

Cheap Old Navy shirts, a pair of Levis, a pair of Nikes, and a dash of Aventus (or /VIW) to brighten up my night/day would be most ideal right now. lolz

I haven't had a problem with any of mine, but I've heard that they had problems with the soles actually falling apart because of some biological process I can't think of now. I have 2 pair of business shoes, 3 pair of sandals, and a pair of open toed running shoes and mine show hardly any wear. I have an Ecco outlet store a couple miles down the road and they'll take back anything and from what they've told me this is company wide.

I have spent hardly anything on clothes for the last couple of years, but bought a lot of perfume. I wear a uniform for work, so l don't tend to need new clothes that regularly. But it's getting to the stage where if l did go clothes shopping, l wouldn't know where to start! l did buy a new winter coat last December, & last month l bought new work shoes, flip-flops, & a new bag, but only because my old ones were falling apart.
On the whole, my perfume:clothing ratio must be somewhere between 10:1 & 20:1, in terms of numbers, not money spent.
But what the hell, as long as l smell good, l'm happy!
