Amber Absolute. I love the soft incense in it, plus it's just more interesting. I like Tobacco Vanille a lot, but it turns to simply root beer on me after a while.

I'm not too familiar with amber scents, prada amber doesn't qualify as an amber scent correct?

+1 to this. IMO Ambre Precieux is just as complex and fairly similar at half the price.

I own both and love both equally. Seeing that they sit next to each other in the cabinet, I wouldn't want they to become jealous of each other.

Hmmmm, a good amber no doubt, but IMO much softer and more vanilla, whereas AA is much spicier and richer.

Yes Amber Absolute is worth trying. Almost a reference Amber for me.
They are both very different and cannot be compared.

Do you have any amber perfumes so we can compare and constrast?

Amber Absolute all day over Tobacco Vanille. But my favorite of the line is Noir de Noir.

+1. Now I've heard it's actually a pretty accurate representation of amber (along with L'Artisan's Ambre) but I can't say I actually like it the most of all the ambers I've tried... but from what I can tell, amber accurately includes a fair amount of vanilla smell.

They are both great, but Amber Absolute is better. Amber / incense / labdanum is absolutely mesmerizing.

    1 Amber Absolute
    2 Tuscan Leather
    3 Noir de Noir
    4 Tobacco Vanille

I'd recommend Ambre Precieux instead of Amber Absolute.
