You can add True religion Drifter to that list.
Since I like meaningless top ten thread I wanted to start one as well. Here are my top 10 worst releases by designerns in 2010/2011
1. JPG - Le male terrible
2. Davidoff - Champion
3. Bvlgari - Man
4. Gucci - Guilty
5. Joop! - Splash
6. Ed Hardy - Love and luck
7. Davidoff - Adventure fraiche
8. Joop! - Zeitgeist
9. Christian Audigier - Christian Audigier
10. True religion - True religion
You can add True religion Drifter to that list.
I'm gonna disagree with Ed Hardy L&L. I'm not a fan of the fragrance or Ed Hardy anything but it's a hit with the teenage crowd.
I think Boss Orange is pretty bad.
Just because of the bottle. The juice is truly horrible and vanishes after 5 minutes. I threw that one in the garbage bin.
Hmm.. out of those, I have tried Bvlgari Man, Christian Audigier, Love & Luck, True Religion.
Love & Luck I used to own a .25 oz bottle. At first I thought it was crap, but after a while, I realized it had some charm. Although very basic, and uninspired.. while versatile as can be. Usually these types of fragrances do nothing for me and my collection. I might buy a bottle if the price was right, but for the most part, it's just a safe everyday scent for your average Joe. For the fragrance connoisseur, I can see this as being a waste.. however I still find it pleasant.
True Religion, I own a bottle of. I was considering swapping it for a while, due to its horrible projection and longevity. Kerosene told me to just spray it on my clothing, and it'll really bring out the best in this one, and it truly does. Now I can enjoy this scent more. I'm really not much of a clothing sprayer, but this one is fine. Smell alone, I think it's actually one of the better recent releases.. its got a nice combination of citrus, suede, and leather.. kept extremely modern. An intense version of this, or maybe an EDP would be great. This kind of reminds me of Tuscan Leather, without the raspberry - replace it with citrus. And, of course.. not nearly as high quality.
Bvlgari Man, I smelled on paper.. but I found it to be pleasing, I will have to come back to this one soon. Christian Audigier was just a fruity synthetic with some tobacco note, if I recall, another one that I just smelled on paper. One that I might come back to, but in no hurry.
Unfortunately I own all of them.
Aramis Cool Blend
The One Gentleman
Loud for Him
Infusion de Vétiver
Boss Bottled Night
Black Fleece for Men
Mark Birley For Men Charles Street
Burberry sport ice may also be a honorable mention. Actually I like Aramis Cool Blend. .9
Bulgari man shouldn't be on that list IMO.
i think love and luck is actually pretty good. and while i found it a little boring, bvlgari man's not bad either
I thought Gucci Guilty was quite nice * blush *
-bleu de chanel (really smells bad on me!)
How come you own all of them?
It's difficult to decide... mediocrity abounds. Boss orange is one of the nullities I remember from the last few months.
You know, now that I think of it, I can't think of a designer/mass-market frag from last year or this year that is even in the slightest bit worth purchasing...
I own them because of blind buys and got talked into buying some by a cute SA (yeah, I know) when I starting exploring fragrances. She recommended Luck and Love , Audigier and True religion.
gucci guilty smells like a bloke wearing the cleanest armani suit and some filthy old sneakers.
Marc Jacobs Bang
Marc Jacobs Apple Splash
Burberry Sport For Men
Azzaro Chrome Sport
Cartier De Lune
CK IN2U Heat Her
John Richmond For Men
Bleu De Chanel

I can only think of one.....CK One Summer 2010......not bad until this grilled hamburger note creeps in out of nowhere. No idea what is causing it, but I kept thinking I had something smelly in my car. Just this odd stray note in the composition that smells like fast food hamburgers and totally ruins the fragrance.
I can't think of any of the last 2 years worth owning.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
Dsquared's Silver Wind Wood is excellent.
But your list of worst releases looks pretty solid to me. I hope you buy better stuff next year
Blind buying is a lot of fun. Ed Hardy, True religion and Audigier are quite uncommon in Germany.
It makes me kind of happy that there haven't been many winners in the last year or two. It means I can catch up on more of the (many) classics that I need to try, without worrying about missing out on something current. Although it does get kind of annoying to read over and over, "This is okay but the older formulation is the best"!
The new Armani Code Summer Edition...staying power on me wasn't bad...usually armanis are safe scents, this was ughh
Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. Bleu de Chanel is a masterpiece comparing to this one.
