    Default Sexy Update and Thanks...

    Hey, Knowledgeable Comrades:

Last week I posted a thread about the sexuality of natural body scent and asked what fragrances allude to those primal, sensual smells. Thanks to direct recommendations from you, or the research that your suggestions brought about, I ended up ordering 18 decants. Soon I will have seven more fragrances that I can't live without:

    1740: Marquis de Sade
    Eau d'Hermes
    Epic Man
    Jubilation XXV
    Muscs Koublai Khan
    Musc Ravageur
    Rose 31

    Close runners up are:
    French Lover/Bois d'Orage
    Loukhoum

This would not have been possible without your guidance. Thanks!

Congratulations lionheart! I own 1740, MR, Jub XXV and Epic and love them all!!

Was kind of disappointed with Rose 31...coz when I first smelled it, I was reminded of Declaration by Cartier. Only Rose 31 smells "cleaner" and Declaration "dirtier". So, nothing special for Rose 31 for me.

    Nice one. I own:

    Muscs Koublai Khan
    Musc Ravageur
    Rose 31

Three of my favourites. 1740 is on my to try list next. How do you like it compared to the 3 I listed?

    Thanks, everyone!

@Duke: I'm really too much of a newbie to answer your question. The feeling I got from 1740 was a really perfumy, loud smell that is trying to cover up something really nasty......(in a good way). I got this impression before I looked at the title. (I test blind). But then when I saw it was Marquis de Sade.....it all made sense....a perfume to cover up all the nasty, perverted things he did. Anyway, all you experts, this is definitely an "IMHO" moment.

I honestly dont see the link between these perfumes and sexuality.

They're all excellent choices for perfume but I see no link to be honest.
I have 30 sprays of rose 31 on right now and im in heaven but not a sexual one. lol

That's okay. I'm happy. I will have 7 IMO sexy fragrances that I wouldn't have even heard of if not for BN. Just this minute I completed my online order for 1740: Marquis de Sade. Incidentally, they have a $10.00 samples package where you get 6 of their samples. However, if you order a bottle of perfume, those six samples are free. I'm stoked! It is histoiresdeparfums.com.

    Lionheart, great choices, all.

You will really enjoy the Histoires de Parfums line. Good quality with great longevity and sillage.

I enjoy the 1876 Mata Hari (this is often used as a masculine), 1889 Moulin Rouge (a wonderful plum, absinthe with leather), 1725 Casanova (a lavender with vanilla), and the 1740 Marquis de Sade, a rich everlasting flower with patchouli.

    Enjoy!

Thanks! Interestingly, on Musc Ravageur (especially) and muscs Koublai Khan (to a lesser degree) the top note for me hints at urine, but subtly.

I don't think there is a "feature" for this. I just do it manually. Create a response to one quote, then copy the whole thing (quote and response), click "reply with quote" for the next post you want to reply to, and paste your previous quote/response above your new quote. That'll make two quotes and two responses in a post.

Then copy all your responses and quotes and paste them above the next quote you're responding to. Third quote. Etc etc.

That's how I do it, anyway. If someone has a better way, please do tell!

Hey, do you see the "reply with quote" at the bottom of each post? Well to the right of that is a quotation mark inside a black thought bubble. That is the "multi-quote" button, but I can't figure it out, and I'm too stupid to do it the way you describe. LOL

Oh I see!! Wow, I never noticed that before!

Well I figured it out. Just click that button next to all the posts you want to quote, then click "Reply with Quote" only once, and all the posts you checked show up as quotes, and you can insert your commentary between them.

Not sure how it works if you want to multi-quote using multiple pages of a thread...maybe you'd have to go back to my original method.

Ha! I'm glad you asked that question...I never paid attention to that button.
