Question Favorite heliotrope fragrances (that don't smell like Play-Doh)

    Hello everyone,

I figured it might be a bit more fitting to start this thread in the Female Fragrance Discussion, as there are more "feminine" fragrances with prominent heliotrope notes.

Anyway, I really love almond/cherry almond kinda smells, but I will admit that sometimes they can smell a bit like Play-Doh on me if not done right.

So, that being said, what's your favorite heliotrope fragrance, or fragrances, that actually smell pleasant?
    SEEKING BOTTLES OF:

Aramis New West (preferably old bottle)
    Patrick by Fragrances of Ireland
    Azzaro Aqua
    Gloria by Cacharel

PM me if you have bottles that you're willing to sell or trade!

    "that actually smell pleasant".

Well, it's true that Jour de Fête has a certain Play-doh quality until you get used to it, but then it reminds you more of Jordan almonds. Whatever, I find it pleasant.

Personally I find it more pleasant than Etro Heliotrope. I even like it better than Après L'Ondée which I'm sure will be mentioned again here.

I'm going all low brow because my favorite heliotrope has got to be Stila' s Creme Bouquet. Heliotrope is not listed but I swear it's in there.
Farnesiana is stunning - like Caron's L'heure Bleue in some ways. It's a beaut.

JAR's Jarling - it has an animalic and anisic undertone I love. If it was a "bigger" fragrance it would be a love of mine, but it's quiet.

Here is my response to a Heliotrope thread a few years ago:

Heliotrope is one of my favorite notes ... and it is included in a lot of different kind of scents.

For Heliotrope in a starring role, you HAVE to try Etro Heliotrope. It also has some almond and vanilla and other yummy stuff to make it clean, airy, and almost ethereal feeling.

Other fragrances I enjoy that have at least some heliotrope include:

    Dolce Vita
    Jaipur Homme
    Jaipur Saphir
    Herve Leger
    L'Heure Bleue
    Cuir Beluga
Gucci Eau de Parfum (the brown juice one, the pink juice one also lists heliotrope, but I don't care for that one)

I don't think I have any new scents to add to my list, but I'm always on the lookout.

No one mentioned POTL Luctor et Emergo.
I'm wearing the parfum concentration today. I don't associate this with Play Doh. I actually got compliments on it!
    I also recommend Jaipur Homme.
