Default Yardley citrus and woods and Terre d'Hermes

I was in an out of the way retail park yesterday and while I was waiting for my wife, I saw an island full of Yardley products. I thought I would take a look and see if there were any discontinued gems on there. I noticed this new line and sprayed a sample on my arm. I was struck but its similarity to Terre d'Hermes. the notes from its website are 'top notes of bergamot, lime and elemi with a spicy sensual heart of black pepper, birchwood and oakmoss, enhanced by the warmth of sandalwood, cedarwood, amber and vetivert at its base.' It would appear to be sharing some of the same notes.
Anyway, once I got past the similarity, it wasn't that bad with the woods and vetiver showing some real resilience. Sillage and longevity were pretty good. Might be worth a budget buy.....

Could you give us more info - perhaps the name of the new line? Or the name of the store? Thanks!

The line is called Yardley Citrus and Woods. It should come up on Google. I'm not sure what you mean by name of the story.

Does not surprise me: a big success always brings inspiration. Being Terre D'Hermes, sooner or later perfume makers will end up releasing similar scents for a lower price.
