Question The fuss concerning Gucci Envy for Men Prices........

I´ve just looked today at prices for this and I find it very reasonable, if not cheap. The links from basenotes to the online stores show it for as little as $27 and even sellers on ebay have it for approximately the normal (european) retail price - € 50 for 50ml.....admitedly some are tester bottles, but I was under the impression it was mega rare ????

I think it all depends upon where you live. Obviously online it is still available. It is just a matter of time before the remaining stock dries up. Most of the lower prices you see advertised online are out of stock when you click on the links. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find.

It's approximately $160-$190 for the 100ml on eBay. I just got a 100ml bottle for retail price from somebody.

On a side note, it smells absolutely great. I like Gucci PH II, but I'd put Envy way above it. It's a shame it's gone now and all we're left with is Gucci by Gucci and Gucci Guilty.

I have a 50ml bottle of the older, lighter green stuff. I'm not that impressed.

It's expensive in the US and has been for months.

It really is sad that Gucci switched from scents like Gph 1&2 and Envy to Gucci Gucci By Gucci Pour Homme By Gucci. Good grief, what a horrendous name and a blah scent at best. I was debating buying Gucci Pour Homme 1, and I remembered that GbyG also had a woody scent, so I sprayed Gph1 on one arm and GbyG on the other. Talk about no-contest. GbyG smells like a consensus scent where they may have had grand plans but ended up dumbing them down in hopes of pleasing everyone rather than thrilling anyone. Gph1 has so much depth and a fascinating transition into an amazing drydown. GbyG is just sort of there, probably because it doesn't have anywhere better to be.

God, I wish I could find a place to smell Envy without having to risk a blind buy.

Careful with it, it's not exactly great at staying fresh. I got an old bottle and it was barely detectable. At any rate, what I did smell wasn't anything special.

It's not bad stuff. You can still find it at reasonable prices in some shopping mall fragrance shops here in the Midwest. Jump on it if you find it at a good price. It's not quite right for me, but I can see the appeal. If you're a Gucci fan - yes, buy it.

Had a backup last year and sold it for a reasonable $40. Unfortunately, I just had to pay $100 for a bottle because it's nowhere to be found over here anymore. And for the record, it's easily my favorite fragrance from Gucci. Easily.

It can be rare, but I dislike it anyway. Search for Gucci Nobile.

Sorry, I did not actüally look on the linked websites....so they müst be old ads from when it was still available. I did see a lot of ebayers selling 100 ml testers for $ 90 or thereaboüts, which isn´t too bad.
