Does anyone else find these two fragrances similar to each other? I just sprayed Envy for men on my wrist, and it instantly reminded me of The One for men by D & G. Both definitely share the tobacco and ginger. I think I like the anise aspect of Envy, but I'm not sure which of the two will do better in the heat of summer. Your thoughts?

I can't see similarity either, but for me Envy is very much fall and winter fragrance. And for evenings.

I wasn't impressed with Envy and didn't find it similar to The One. I actually do like The One but refuse to buy it because they put Matthew Mcconaughey in their ads.
I also have to say no.....These are not similar to me.....I lean torwards The One.....I also feel that Envy would be better in the cooler weather and for night wear!!!
where did you test out the bottles?
I think the poster is referring to D&G The One Gentleman. I know this because the second time I tried The One Gentleman, in the dry down, I recognized some similarities between this and Envy. I even went and put Envy on my other arm to compare the two. It's softer and maybe a little more sweet...kinda reminds me of YSL L'homme. But it is smoothe and quite nice. Upon initial impression, I wasn't impressed, but it is definetely a nice fragrance. But wow, I love it when my fragrance observations are reaffirmed by others! It's not necessary though, cuz I believe what I believe regardless. But, it's good to know that I'm not the only one.
Gucci Envy by far, though a bit strong, still very suitable for summer wear
