Default If you had £100 ($160) to spend on one modern fragrance...

I want to go 'all out' and get one really great, modern fragrance. I have been toying with the idea of Tobacco Vanille because I really like that style of fragrance.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

    Thanks everyone.

    Tobacco Vanilla is nice.

I like APOM and Absolue Pour Le Soir from Francis Kurdjian

Musc Ravageur and Carnal Flower are lovely too.

    Ambre Russe by Parfums d'Empire
    L'ombre fauve from Parfumerie Generale

Those are some from my wishlist!

I know it's another $40 but Puredistance M would be my choice... Back to Black By Kilian as well, the 50 mL refill is $130.

I don't like the following... but based on what you like maybe Tauer's L'Air, Musc Ravageur, Ambre Sultan...

    I'd opt for 50ml of
    Montale Taj
50ml of Montale Red Vetiver, bought direct from Montale and get 20ml free of Red Aoud
    LOST! in scent and music

One that is not mentioned so often: Dans tes Bras

If I remember well you can get 50ml for £90 at Liberty.

Have you considered one of the frags from Histoires de Parfum or Cale?
My mom's great. I appreciate her sense of humor, patience and fondness for daytime drinking. :0)

As of today I'd probably buy a fresh bottle of Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire No.2 or perhaps Parfumerie Generale Louanges Profanes....

seeing as my choice was cheating, and didn't pick just one, I'm going to change my mind and go for something else if I may!?

Next time I splash out £100 on a modern fragrance, it'd be Frederic Malle - Noir Epices

Mr Jones, the title of your thread suggests that you're asking us what we'd wear with $160, but the second-to-last line of your first post indicates you're actually looking for recommendations for yourself.
You do realise that opening the floor up to everyone is going to result in responses as diverse as any of our individual tastes, right? Have you really got the time, wish, resources and patience to go out and sample all of these suggestions?

I'm with your very first respondent adonis on this - if Tobacco Vanille is the one you're edging towards, then let that be the one! Its a great scent and you already obviously enjoy it.

Yeah i agree to a point. I haven't got the time to sample all the responses, but before I make my final decision I just wanted to check if anybody else had any other suggestions of similar fragrances they could recommend.
