Thread: Like Fou D'Absinthe but...
I'm looking for an scent very similar to Fou D'Absinthe (I love it!) but not so transparent and boozy; a bit thick, dense and resinous. Any idea?
Maybe not to brief but probably worth at least trying: Memoir Man (for the opening, it evolves into more of a frankincense after a while) and there is also that Nasomatto one . . . tried it once, Absinthe (?) that I seem to recall being in the same sort of space.
I really like Fou d'Absinthe and I find Lutens Filles en Aiguilles related but it is a different scent - pine is the link between them for me.

Fille en Aiguilles or Memoir Man as mentioned, are worth a try. I have and love both!
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
Fille en Aiguilles by Serge Lutens or Aqua Allegoria Winter Delice by Guerlain
"The plant that you have in your home - have you ever truly looked at it? Have you allowed that familiar yet mysterious being we call a plant to teach you its secrets? Have you noticed how deeply peaceful it is? How it is surrounded by a field of stillness? The moment you become aware of a plant's emanation of stillness and peace, that plant becomes your teacher."

Give Dior's oud and leather a go: tobacco, oud, beeswax and honey (although it doesn't feature Fou D'Absinthe's pine content). Hard to find unfortunately...
Perhaps Absoluement Abisinthe.
