Default Boss Soul: What's your take?

The reviews on this are surprisingly good, and I have to admit the name, bottle, and especially the notes list for it have me intrigued.

I rarely have longevity issues with anything and am actually looking for some lighter orientals that can be worn in casual/work environments.

One review mentioned a cherry like note amidst the woodiness. Does anyone else get cherry? Cherry against nutmeg and spices sounds excellent to me - makes me think of cherry coke (speaking of which, is there anything out there that smells like Cherry Coke? Yum!)

Is the drydown just sweet vanilla and amber, or do some woody elements persist? That's the only thing I fear - an overly thin sweet base. Sweet is fine as long as it's not too thin (like the tonka overdose in the dry downs of L'Homme and La Nuit)

Leave the vitriol at the doorstep and tell me more about Boss Soul please!

This is essentially a citrus, then sweet fragrance with light spices. Very innocuous. And ultimately, it dries down to nothing in like 3hrs. There are so many more interesting things than this. Sample it an you will see this for yourself. Want a similar experience? Go for YSL L'Homme and enjoy the greater quality. That's my take...
    Spring/Summer Rotation:

    Versace Pour Homme
    Kenzo Pour Homme (vintage)
Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme (vintage)
    D& G Masculine
    Christian Dior Dune
    Guerlain Homme (EDT)
    Bond No9 Riverside Drive

If smelling good was a crime, I'd be serving a lifetime sentence....

Not me. It smelled like cough medicine to me. I found it dreadful, however, you might like it.

To me Boss Soul is by far the best fragrance from Boss. I neither get any heavy sweetness nor cherry or overly noticable vanilla. For me it's a pretty dry but yummy woody fragrance with decent longevity. I really like it.

Boss Soul reminds me of a specialty shop that sells spices. I see this as a pretty good holiday scent for Christmas or Thanksgiving.

So, should it be called Boss Soulless?
Is the juice worth the squeeze?

Now where did I put my vitriol...?

But do let us know if you find your cherry coke scent. I'd be interested too!

Great when you first spray it on - and a lot like cherry coke as others have mentioned. But gone within 10 minutes on my skin and no detectable drydown of any interest

Boss Soul gives a spicy woody liquor-ish vibe to me. I find this scent very much not Boss-like fragrance. Scent itself is sort of woodsy, smoky and dark-ish. I like it and I will probably own it. Longevity of this scent is great, at least on me.

I own this fragrance. It is a pleasant light oriental. Worth buying if you can get it at a discount

Boss Soul is actually smells quite brilliant IMO. But as many others pointed out the longevity is spotty at best! If it had better Longevity and wasnt a Boss frag (Boss is just ½ step up from Axe in my country) I could easily see my self wear it...

I would recommend Marks and Spencer's Autograph Intense. It's very similar to Boss Soul but lasts 3 times longer and the pack illustrated below is only £7.50! Hurrah!
