    Default Estee Lauder Private Collection

Just want to know if Eau de Private Collection is the same as Private Collection, or a lighter version?

If they are different, please describe and if possible rate as an Estee Lauder, typical? or something a bit new?

    Welcome to basenotes, angelofthenorth!!

I am getting pretty excited! I did not know EL ever made an Eau de PC, and I officially want some of it.
I think it's a distinct scent, based on the name. But I will wait for someone else to reply.

I just looked on ebay, and someone in the UK has a bottle for sale. It looks new, and I am wondering if it's maybe a limited edition Europe/ Duty Free thing?

If this is less powdery than the regular kind, I'd love to try it! There's nothing quite like those jewel-green top notes.

I just went and had a quick look. The bottle is only 7.5mls in size, so I am thinking it was in with a GWP at some point. This is the same one? It says edc not the usual edp.

Hi everybody, I saw it on www.perfumeclick.co.uk.
Sorry I don't know how to insert the image, but you can look it up.
    It may be U.K. only?

Best wishes, have a nice day!

This is the original Estee Lauder 'Private Collection' fragrance, released in 1973.

They may have listed it as EDC instead of EDP because it is actually a concentration between a Parfum and Eau De Parfum.

I've been seeing Eau de Private Collection (the same as in your picture) for last couple of years in duty free shops (Zagreb airport, to be precise), but never the regular PC ('perfume'). While regular PC is fantastic, rich and grassy chypre that lasts all day, Eau de PC seemed to me as diluted, undistinguished edt. Not worthy, IMO, try to find the real thing.

    Bumping an old thread ....

I bought a sealed bottle of "Eau de Private Collection". This is what the box looks like -

Is this 'weak' or 'diluted'? Should I return it? If it is roughly similar (in tenacity and sillage) to the other Ester Lauder EdPs, then I have no reason to return it unless it has suffered a terrible reformulation.

Just in case you are wondering, this was a 'blind-buy'.

    Thank you!

It might be a limited edition?

The bottle and box I own are exactly the same as the photo but mine is the normal edp bought some years back.

Lauder loved coming up with new names for their formulations. Have a look at old ads and eBay. Have no idea what that's all about.

Honestly if it is a diluted Private Collection that might not be a bad thing. PC is so strong! There is nothing 'private' about it.
