I have over 100+ niche frags. Creed - Bois de Portugal is my current top clean niche.

I would put Original Vetiver juuuuuuust below.

    Acqua di Parma Colonia

    Castile.

It's hard to find anything cleaner than Castile by Penhaligon's. To me, even Mugler Cologne isn't as Clean as Castile. Castile is amazing stuff. Imagine if you bought a bar of the richest soap you've ever tried, and you took a knife to it, whittling off the thinnest slices as possible. Run your fingers through the slices from the bar of rich soap. That's what Castile smells like. But even though it smells like soap, it has a marvelous human-ness about it, in that it makes you smell like a clean person rather than as a person wearing soap. Castile has become my all time favorite scent by any house. I love the stuff.

One of these days, I need to try Patrick by Fragrances Of Ireland. That one supposedly smells like Irish Spring soap.

1725 Casanova by Histoires De Parfums is my favorite clean scent that isn't soapy. It's a barbershop style of clean. It smells dapper, well groomed, well dressed, and ready for a gentlemanly night out - emphasis on gentleman.

I'm surprised by some of the recommendations too. Aventus is clean? It's very good, but it's not clean.

Then again, I wear Castile a lot. After Castile, almost anything starts to smell dirty. Almost anything but me, of course, when I wear Castile!

I recently picked up one of the cleanest fragrances that I've had the pleasure to smell, Fragrances of Ireland Inis. My GF and I each bought a bottle. My GF gets several hours of projection and she received three compliments on the first day that she wore it.

Clean with a warm undercurrent to me is epitomized in Creed’s Original Vetiver as you get the clean/fresh nuances in the top with a warm feeling as it dries down with its slightly soapy elements. Creed OV gets my vote. Also, +1 on the Nasomatto Silver Musk.

The Prada Infusions are great for this even though they’re not niche. Check out Iris, Iris Cedre and Oeillet in particular. I agree with the various recommendations for Ciel Man and would add Silver Cologne too, also by Amouge.

Svensk Parfyms all have the clean fresh vibe. Surprisingly for this genre they seem to last all day.
