Default Joop Rococo parfum - Real or fake (refilled)?

Hi! I want to hear your opinion about my new purchase.

I bought a rare bottle of Joop Rococo parfum extrait splash bottle (15 ml) from a private seller. (New, but without foilI)

I was a little sceptic, and when the box arrived i thoroughly inspected it and found these:

    - there are red marks outside the bottle (see the pictures)

    - it does not have the consistency of an oil

Could that mean that somebody refilled the empty bottle with the edp, or it is the normal state?

    What you think?

    ???

I find it too full. Normally, a bottle isn't 100% filled, there is always a small room left - 1 mm or so. And if it's older, it naturally evaporates. The bottle fullness is too suspicious to me.

    Thank you for the reply!

It seems to full, but I took the picture horizontally, as you can see from the bubble.

But I still do not understand the red marks over the level of the juice.

The red marks suggest taht the juice was either re-poured (original for fake or original for original - whatever the reason) or leaked. The dots are the perfume, the juice marks.

But...........if leaked, it's even more suspicious why it's so full.

I made a discovery: there are particles floating in the juice.
And i shot a picture from normal point of view, where you can see how full the juice really is.

I think now, that this is probably fake (refilled with edp, which man can buy here in sample (1,5 ml) format or attenuated with alcohol or water). But i don't know if the samples are in splash or in spray format. It would be really hard to outcome 15 ml from 10 spray samples.

The last thing i still want to do, is to ask a saleswoman in the local perfume shop.

I am afraid that it has been discontinued. Have you tried it? Whjat's your opinion about the juice? Is it rich, long-lasting with good sillage?

No, i don't opened it yet. I wanted to sell it on ebay, as i saw the high price. I took the risk of buying a fake.

Of course, i don't want to sell fake things, thats why i opened this thread.

Maybe i buy the edp samples to, but when i open the parfum, i can't sell it any more. So the comparison of the edp sample and the parfum would mean than the re-selling is cancelled, and i keep the parfum, and give it to my mother.

    I post if something happens.

Until you open and try it, you will not be able to decide whether or not it is a real juice - it's a main precondition I think.

Is it sealed? It does not look so in the pictures.

    Hi!

As I said, I don't opened it yet, but I think you mean the plug, which not completely lock the bottle.

    Hi!

I received the Edp samples yesterday. I made the comparision of the Edp and the "Parfum".

They are not identical, but they have similarities. I think that the Parfum is more classic feminime/floral from start to finish, while the Edp is feminime at start, but then it settles down into a floral-woody scent that's not as feminime as the Parfum.

This is mine point of view.

They have the same average longevity, with normal sillage. I expected more from the Parfum. But I must say I put not to much from it on my arm.

So I think the Parfum could be real. Maybe it's diluted with alcohol, I don't know.

I plan to put them on Ebay next week with a longer describtion.
