Default Review game 2 -- give a fragrance review in exactly 10 words

In searching for a review of Tam Dao, I found beachroses' old thread:
Review game - give a fragrance review in exactly ten words.
and thought I would revive the game (since threads "over 301 days old" cannot be continued).

Demeter Sugar Cookie -- I am at my husband's mom's house eating her snickerdoodles.

Cuba Paris Cuba Gold -- Spicy vanilla musk like Le Mâle but mucho menos money.

Halston Halston Couture -- Goth girl walking in the woods carrying pungent wilting flowers.

Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose -- Halp! I am suffocating in a vat of rose concentrate!

"It's now very common to hear people say "I'm rather offended by that." As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well so fucking what." - Stephen Fry

Calvin for Men (the Eighties original): How dare you assume that I wish to remain anonymous?

Ungaro II: Who knew that lemon and civet could actually work together?

Sweet Honesty: Innocence in a bottle -- one of the only decent Avons.

Gris Clair: Bleak wintertime in Scotland. Astringent lavender and melancholy Northern moors.

A*men: My cocoa fell into hot tar. The smell causes migraines.

Diva: Rich, opulent nectar of the goddesses. Easily Ungaro's best work.

Youth Dew: Gorgeous brew that ought not be worn before age 50.

L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme: Understated white musk to check out in spite of synthetics.

Gendarme (the original): See above. See above. See above. See above. See above.

Grey Flannel: Sober, elegant violet elixir. Great juice for the money.

Catalyst for Men: Bay rum goes mod. Twice the spice and add musk.

Rocabar: An implausible marriage of woods and flowers, but it works.

L'Air du Temps: Who said that smelling pretty has to cost a fortune?

Skarb: Imagine carrots, cardamom and cumin in a skanky Lithuanian stew.

Boucheron pour Homme: This works in spite of its similarity to Lemon Pledge.

Acqua di Giò pour Homme: Solid proof that Americans can be convinced to buy anything.

Magie Noire: French seductress misses her sexy civet. Please return it, Lancôme.

Racquets by Penhaligons: Powdery, crisp, tailored. British stiff upper lip? Yes, but sexy.

Yang by Jacques Fath: Green tea and musk -- yum! This always gets me compliments.

Witness by Jacques Bogart: Well kept secret concoction of patchouli and cinnamon. Get some.

Monsieur Musk by Houbigant/Dana: Skanky, sexy Seventies powerhouse. John Holmes might have worn it.

Chypre Rouge by Serge Lutens: Pine needles and cherry Robitussin. Expensive as hell, too -- yikes!

Claiborne for Men: Bergamot laden juice that goes on heavy but dries SMOOTH.

White Shoulders: Soft gardenia -- always a classic. Gorgeous stuff for drugstore price.

Bogart pour Homme: Chocolate, patchouli, spices and musk. Under twenty bucks on eBay.

Santa Fe: Pleasant masculine Oriental that can be had for very little.

Arabie by Serge Lutens: Treacle covered with exotic spices. Diabetic coma in a bottle.

JHL: Cinnabar with balls. Cinnabar with balls. Cinnabar with balls. Balls.

Canoé (Canoe) by Dana: Marvelous soapy and powdery fougère you can buy for peanuts.

Salvador Dali pour Homme: Satanic sex machine for sale. Lips on top of bottle.

Lacoste pour Homme (the original): Soapy, citrusy, sexy Eighties powerhouse. Apply sparingly, though. Strong stuff.

Orient Extreme by Montale: Oh, poor Montale should have stopped while it was ahead.

Aramis 900 by Aramis: In five short words, friends: Aromatics Elixir out of drag.

Happy for Men: Finally, a grapefruit fragrance for guys that actually WORKS. Fun!

Joy by Jean Patou: Complex aldehydic elixir favored by the Boca blue hair set.

Quorum by Puig: You could do worse for twelve bucks. But do better.

Jicky: Unisex lavender delight . . . once you get over the baby poo.

Tabac (the original): Barbershop nostalgia all bottled up. Pure soap and clean muskiness.

The Dreamer by Versace: Much maligned tobacco and iris juice. (Try it first, OK?)

Molinard de Molinard: Understated French elegance; pure femininity. All you need to know.

Great Jones by Bond No. 9: Drakkar Noir in a cooler bottle and quadrupled in price.

Sirène by Vicky Tiel: Heady, elegant floral. Demure but sexy. Yes, a siren indeed.

Index Patchouli Pure by Fresh: Cousin to Givenchy Gentleman and Bond No. 9 Hot Always.

Signature pour Homme by Dupont: Spices and sweet vanilla, with notes of tulip thrown in.

L'Inspiratrice by Divine: Exotic ylang ylang and rose layered over warm tonka. Expensive.

Noir Épices: Dark, misunderstood Continental beauty. High praise: favorite of Cathérine Deneuve.

Original Santal by Creed: Joop! has a classy English sibling. Who knew? I did.
