Default I really shouldn't admit this but...

Do any of you get a little too drunk and just bite the bullet and buy fragrances you have been on the fence about???

I usually put quite a bit of thought into it, even for "cheapos."

I don't drink but I long ago learned that the fence just gives me a sore arse while I delay the inevitable purchase....

Ha, I thought I was the only person who did this! It's always for fragrances I know I'm probably going to eventually get, but have been holding off on for whatever reason. I'll get home after having too much, get online and finally just put the order in.

I think it is because drinker's remorse is easier to accept than buyer's remorse.

I have already thought about ones that I will not be buying again. I am streamlining my collection little by little. I don't drink though lol.

Everything I buy, I feel is carefully thought out ahead of time so for me there is no indecision.

I don't drink too often, but when I do, I try not to make decisions about anything.

Have never purchased scents while drunk, which hasn't slowed me down at all, however.

    Hah ! I am a hopeless cheap drunk ( half a glass and I am ** whooppeee !** :O ) so I don't indulge. If I did, God help the fragrance counters............
My problem is I definitely deliberate too much .........hmmm, maybe I should start drinking .... *LOL*

I don't drink but I'm still perfectly capable of making rash decisions That said, my 'impulse buy' days are pretty well over now.

Naw. I'm pretty cold hearted anymore about pulling the trigger. It took a couple of years, but I mostly avoid full bottle purchases.
I'm kind of an 8ml decant guy of late.

Made some rash buy last year, but I was never literally drunk.

For those who indulge and buy, be thankful its perfumes and not horological masterpieces like Aumemars Piguet & Vacheron Constantin.
Those would be painful buyer's remorse sessions.

    for swap/sale:

I don't drink but sometimes I just say "what the heck" and pull the trigger quickly before I have a chance to give it second thought

I am always, more or less (mentally and metaphorically) intoxicated by idealizing, effusive, grandiloquent, idolizing thoughts even about the fragrances that did not particularly impress me at first, yet something in my mind always seems to give in and accept further impulse shopping and compulsive shopping of almost any kind of fragrance

I don't drink. But after being indecisive for a long period, I just "go for it". The fact that I am on the fence for such a long period of time tells me that I really want the bottle. Otherwise, time will have allowed me to just forget about it or not be interested anymore.
Seeking: Bottles/decants : of Feeling Man, Gucci pour Homme, Essence of John Galliano, Nicole Miller (vintage), Opium pour Homme, Oxford & Cambridge...etc.

Seeking decant/sample of Jil Sander Feeling Man, Cacharel Nemo, Bijan for Men EDC, Lanvin for Men, Giorgio VIP, Il Lancetti and other old school frags ....etc. I have samples to swap.

    Nope

I tend to follow the Three Rules of Fiscal Sanity:

    1. Never loan money to a relative or friend. Make it a gift or don't do it.

    2. Never food shop while hungry (or, back in a wild youth, when stoned--remember Beldar Conehead visiting the movie concession stand after a few tokes?)

    3. Never buy a frag when under the influence of anything other than L'Eau de L'Eau
Our job is to live joyfully in this world of sorrows--Joseph Campbell
