New West for Him
I've been looking (sniffing) all over for a fresh fragrance that meets the following criteria but can't find any. Please help me out!
-No citrus / fruit
-A cold winter air type smell
-Good longevity (and hopefully good sillage as well)
-Not super popular like Versace eau fraiche or Issey Miyake (but i don't think there are any frags that meet my above criteria that are super popular)
I tend to prefer extremes in my fragrances: edition blanche (extreme citrus), pure malt (extreme sweetness), dior homme intense (extreme...sexiness?), etc. haha anyways you guys get the gist. I'm looking for an extremely fresh fragrance this time around and can't find anything.

Thanks! I've been lurking on basenotes for awhile, and you seem to give awesome recommendations petruccijc - I'll be sure to check New West out.
Le Labo Rose 31, some people has longevity issue but not on my skin, i get 7-10 hours.
Thanks for the recommendations!
I would like to add a couple more criteria though,
-Not sweet nor floral
-Under $100 :P (my fragrance addiction may kill me if I don't stick to this haha)
I'm starting to think there may not be a fragrance that captures the smell I want though..
Silver Mountain Water may fit the bill, and though I personally don't care for it you should check out Geir Ness or something with mint like Cartier Roadster or Heeley Menthe Fraiche.
Mint isn't my favorite note in a fragrance but I do like Menthe Fraiche.
Haven't posted here in a long while but felt I had to give my two cents on this one.
I highly recommend Lalique White. Very fresh without all the citrus!
It is hard to get "fresh" without a little citrus in it. However you may want to try yves st. laurent por homme. It is musky sweet a tad fougere yet fresh.
I think musk lavender vanilla and some floral scents may be what you are looking for.
I'd say go for a vetiver. The Italian ones are very good - Santa Novello, Villoresi or Etro
infusion de vetiver
live jazz (slight citrus, background noise)

I totally agree with the vetiver recommendation by Dorian G. above. Also fresh woods is a good category for you. Some good vetiver and dry woods scents that fit your request are:
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver - dry bitter green vetiver
Mugler Cologne - green, fresh, soapy
Villoresi Vetiver - earth, dirt and roots
Kenzo Air - anise, dry gin tonic vetiver
Voyage d' Hermes - oceanic, dry, vetiver
Declaration L' Essence - birch, cedar, vetiver - dry woods/fresh
Rocky Mountain Wood - dry light woods
Escentric Molecules Escentric 01 - essence of freshness.
Kenzo pour Homme
Voyage by Hermes
Hm, interesting :
I second Fahrenheit 32
Egoist Platinum , Kenzo Air ..
I forgot Carolina Herrera 212 this one could be it...

I have and like Prada Infusion d'Homme. When applied generously it lasts with a considerable sillage. I think it would be great for you.
Platinum Egoiste and Mugler Cologne.
YSL L'Homme's 08 flanker Eau d'ete if you can find it , Kenz air (intese) or XY by Hugo Boss.
"Aqua Quorum" if you want a cheap but pretty good one! Long lasting and good sillage!
Used it this summer in Spain (during the day) and was perfect!
Lush Dirty (airy, fresh, no citrus, long lasting, not popular yet)
