    Default Abandoned buildings

    Hi all,

Tomorrow I will make my first foray into urban exploration. Demolished buildings, dark tunnels etc. What would you wear in such a situation?

    Cheers

Petroleum by Histoires de Parfum. It smells like entering a damp, dark cave with some rotting material. Unwearable but very interesting. A cheaper, though less striking, alternative would be Dubai of the Scent of Departure Line (which is a cheaper offspring of the HdP line), which is clearly a tamed derivative of Petroleum.

Also, cheaper and easier, Lush Breath of God has also made me think about industrial archaeology, with its striking burnt plastic note.

In your collection, I'd go with Knize Ten (gasoline) or Kouros (musks and chemicals).

Steel toe cap boots with thick soles!!

There are many safety items of clothing i'd be worried about before a fragrance.

    Ralph Lauren Polo Explorer?

CDG 2MAN would be good. It's smokey, aromatic and woody but not perfumey. Has a very adventurous and rugged feel to it.

    These seem quite approriated.

I would add Tar, Garage and SKAI. All from CDG's synthetic series...

I have been urbexing for many years now, and last weekend was spent exploring the twisted remains of a nineteenth century asylum. As I recall it was Hammam Bouquet that I was wearing. Seemed to be a fitting homage to Victoriana. Enjoy your exploration

Encre Noire is pretty much the perfect fragrance for this. It reminds me of an a burnt out old building deep in the woods.

Since you sold your bottle, my second picks would be Gucci PH I, Terre d'Hermes, or YSL M7.

The reason why, i suggested Kourous - the moment he walks in the scent pre-kills everything..
