the male fragrance discussion has WAY more posts than the female fragrance discussion?
isn't the common perception that women care more about perfumes than men? (and why do women have more moderators?

ahh; didnt think to use the search engine for this one...lol haha my bad veterans
The Male forum was the very first forum and initially, it was the only forum. The Female forum was added much later, when similar female forums had already been established elsewhere. And that's why the Male discussion is much bigger.

On Fragrantica it's the exact opposite.
^ Yep. Most females are on fragrantica![]()
I never thought this was weird at all. Discussing the ins and outs of some hobby and dissecting things is more of a guy thing in general.
Almost every man [me,father,grandfather,friends.....etc] i know love fragrances
while most women i know dont :d
Yeah, near-obsessive interest in hobbies (guilty, your honor) tends to be a guy thing in my experience.
Though that could be selection bias on my part-- cigars and pipes, fountain pens, fragrances, wetshaving...
But it seems like, generally speaking, men are more inclined to get a bug for some particular esoteric slice of the world and want to know every little useless detail about it.
Why would it be ironic ? And just out of curiosity, is your name Alanis Morrisette ?
Seeking: Bottles/decants : of Pomegranate Noir, Midnight in Paris EDP, Feeling Man, Essence of John Galliano, Azzaro pour Homme (vintage),...etc.
Seeking decant/sample of PdE Ambre Russe, Jil Sander Feeling Man, Comme des Garcons 2 Man, Giorgio VIP, ....etc. I have samples to swap.

"It was a little more balanced not too long ago, but a few moderators on the men's side wanted to quit doing that and it became a little lopsided. Now all of the mods can moderate any of the forums, but our names are still listed on the forums where we started out."

I asked the same question several months ago...and the veterans keep graciously explaining the reasons!
Dr_Rudi - are you a moderator? You might consider putting shadesofbleu's post in quotation marks to avoid any confusion.![]()
Science is not only compatible with spirituality, it is a profound source of spirituality. When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages, when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual. ..Carl Sagan
