    Hi every1,

    Quick question !

Do any males use Alien EDP (women's) and if you do, do people recognise it as a feminine fragrance ?

    Thanks

I wore my sample of it today and think it smells great. If people smell it on me and think it's too feminine, I won't care.

Smelled it recently on a woman and it was absolutely divine. And quite wearable for a man.

I wear it and love it. I generally just use one spray, occasionally two. It is perfectly unisex with that fresh mega jasmine sambac opening leading to the hours and hours of the white amber dry down.

I wouldn't hesitate to wear it if you like it. I would but I dislike the fruity aspects.

I love it on a woman but not so much on me as I think it is indeed more on the feminine side (not that much though).

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
If you otherwise carry yourself as a man,
nobody will think twice if you are wearing
    a ladies frag.

I wore Alien to work some time ago, and
    a co-worker of mine thought I smelled
delish. I told her it was Alien, to what she
replied; 'but, isn't that a womans frag?'
    She had no idea!

And yet I have preconceptions that make me feel uncomfortable wearing fragrances that I myself find feminine smelling. I leave it to others to decide where that comes from. I live quite happily with my gender-specific preconceptions. :P

Its a great fragrance, and im planning to buy one bottle to myself.

I do care for what i think, and the people around me (parents and girlfriend). The people in the streets i dont really care that much

I like Alien, but I find Poison similar and enjoy it far more. For my nose, on a scale of light to dark:

Alien > Poison > Vintage Poison > Memoir Woman

Alien is too fluffy and Memoir is too intense, but otherwise, they're all related scents due to that grape-jasmine accord.

I dont wear it but only because I find it indescribably vile (and I have a very short list of frags I dont tolerate). Perhaps I would like it better on other men or women

I'm so freaking late to the party but I have to say this: On first Spritz today, I felt incredibly reminded of JOOP! Homme so to I really don't think any female with a little bit of an open mind would think twice about whether or not this was intended for the dude smelling like pure Gold walking by.

I'd love it on a guy, just saying.

I smell it on a lot of women and it smells great on them. I associate it with women.

I don't wear Alien, but it's because I don't particularly like it, not because I think it smells too feminine. There are simply better jasmines out there than this screeching beast.

Almost every female I know wears this; although I love the scent, if I wore this people would know exactly what it was! Besides, it's not something that I would wear personally as I much prefer to smell it on others!

Haven't tried Alien fragrances but have tried Angel fragrances. The Original Angel seems to smell a lot better than A*MEN IMO.

    LOL ;D
I hate it and hate the smell of jasmine note in any fragrance

My lady wears it, so, it would be a no go for me. I think that it has to do with personal associations regarding an individual fragrance if you feel you can wear it or not. I find Carnal Flower every bit as "feminine" smelling and I sport that like a rock star. I just wouldn't be comfortable wearing Alien because I associate it with her raw, natural, feminine beauty. I do love the smell though!

I received a couple of samples of this fragrance, and whilst I think it's great, it is one i'd rather smell on my girlfriend rather than myself.

I try not to buy in to the whole "only a (wo)man can wear a certain fragrance," but that isn't to say that I don't think fragrances are better suited to a woman.

Curiousity has me wanting to try that, although i'd probably do it out and about rather than to work.

I'd be intrigued as to what comments i'd receive wearing it.

It all depends how you feel about jasmine, do you like it, then wear Alien! It's a loud & sweet jasmine, spreading a huge sillage around you; suitable for a confident man or woman who loves jasmine.

A male subordinate wears it frequently. It was his signature scent till he bought Vetiver Tonka after smelling it on me.

I like it but i don`t wear, not because it`s feminine, but because on me the evolution on skin highlight a soapy and sour scent that i don`t like. So i gave mine to my mom and she loves it. On her it smells exuberant in a classy way - the aura has a ripe grape aroma over a jasmine dominant heart and an intense amber spicy base.
I prefer Miror des Envies, that has some similarties with Alien but doesn`t smell soapy on me, having a nutty opening that is pretty comfort over the ambered flower evolution, which seems more moderate on me.

rick, do you find that soapy vibe similar to soap powder, like OMO?
When i used my sample, its all i get, a shirt washed but not rinsed very well

Daniel, i don`t know if i would say OMO, but what i remember is that the scent had a soap aroma and it was powdery at the sime time, but not the kind of powder that i like...

I used to love Alien, but the more I wear it, the more the ambery/woody drydown overshadow the jasmine which make the scent become less attractive to my nose
No one ever tell me if I wear a woman fragrance or I smell too feminine

Some woman came into my bar wearing this the other night. To my nose, I knew it was Alien, but it also reminded me a little of Gaultier's G2, so I asked. It was Alien. I think G2 is similar, but maybe slightly easier for a guy to wear.

Today I finaly sampled Alien also on my skin and not just on my girlfriend. IMO it is pretty unisex (60% feminine / 40% masculine) and very very good. Similiar in style but bit more masculine is Gaultier 2. I am definitely puting this on TO BUY list for my girlfriend and will share bottle with her.

Precisely. You can counter any challenges to your masculinity by responding that it's delish.
