New Haarlem - Bond No. 9 one of the best gourmands imo.

Well A*Men and all of its various formulations should be a good place to start.

My favorite gourmand is Borneo 1834 by Serge Lutens but this one is a bit harder to find (and not as affordable).

Depends upon what you mean. If you want to smell some food-like elements while not coming across as "candy man," Jacomo for Men (2003) is a good place to start, since it's not expensive and there's nothing wrong with it (unlike some, which smell "synthetic" or go into a generic base after an hour or two).

    New Haarlem
    Pure Havane
    Pure Malt
    Rochas Man

can't really go wrong with either of those, and Rochas Man is pretty cheap

Lolita Lempicka Au Masculine: anise, vanilla, rum.
Fahrenheit Absolute: a touch of oud, sweet amber and woods.
    Currently wearing: Méharées by L'Erbolario

Elegance - Noble Gentlemen - looking to make a discrete mark without going too mainstream (eg. A-Men) or going straight into the realms of niche cents.

Another suggestion might be Guerlain - Tonka Imperiale.

Hermessence Amber Narguile or Vetiver Tonka.

Just got a sample of Frapin 1270. It is awesome. I would say Boozy Gourmand smelling, to me it has somewhat a similar cross smell between pure malt and L'Instant Extreme.

Boozy at first then drys down to a lovely minty cocoa smell (on me).

+1 on A*Men but also Rochas Man. New Haarlem is nice but very syrupy and at times very cloying but Rochas Man is a great alternative and stays subtle but lasts ages! Body Kouros is also a very masculine and mature gourmand perfect for any gentleman. It's mature and has an aura about it that demands respect. Hanae Mori is also a very gentlemanly gourmand in both the edp and edt version. Lastly, Animale Animale is amazing and for the price you can't beat it. It's basically Angel Men without all the harsh notes.
