I enjoy M7 more.
yves saint laurent - m7
chanel - egoiste
I enjoy M7 more.
M7 looks great but how is the current silage and longevity in the reformulation? Does it project better than egoiste?
Bling buy m7 ?
Because of such dilemmas, I own both
I voted for M7
both are very nice in their own ways... i really can't choose. and u dun have to.. just buy both!!
Despite I love M7 Egoiste is my choice.
Both are fantastic, save the money and get them both
i finally got me m7 a few weeks ago
awsome, love it, im addicted to it, for real.
i need to stop using, Being using it everyday
anyway, as soon as i can i will get me egoiste
my current top five (always in transition)
Dior Eau Noire
HdP 1725 Casanova
eau de gloire parfum d'empire
Dia man Amouage
comme des garçons man 2
It was mentioned above that Egoiste is not discontinued, but I suspect that it is :
This is just a guess, but I suspect if a person can't buy it from Chanel directly, that means they are no longer producing it ?
I know that my local Chanel bricks-and-mortar outlet is no longer carrying Egoiste either.
But I'm willing to admit that I may be wrong about all of this, and that Egoiste is indeed still being produced.
Egoiste is less invasive and less pushy. M7 is really too hirsute - unless you like hairy of course.
I love both especially the vintage M7 i also love the new ysl m7 oud absolu. So for me M7
I own both, but do wear Egoiste slightly more often.
Egoiste no doubt.
Definitely M7 although I like Egoiste.
Tough poll. It's a toss up as I love them both. But if forced, I'd pick Egoiste as I find it easier to wear (not a knock on M7).
Of the two I prefer Egoiste.
Currently looking for some:
- Neil Morris Samples
Both amazing, but would go with M7.
This thread is from 2011, BTW... Lol
M7 is a good fragrance but it gets a lot of hype bcs its discontinued. I prefer Egoiste by far.
I think they are in totally different venn diagrams... despite that, I thing M7 is much more versatile.
Both dry and dank at the same time depending on the humidity. I absolutely love M7 in the winter. It starts off a bit harsh and woody... rounding out as it tempers down with a red (not quite cherry) scent and a complex background based on the synthetic oud. However, if you are in the dry heat of a desert... you will understand the marketing photos. The dry heat brings out a very mature complex aspect of the scent that many people think is "winter only." I suggest the vintage version, which is not hard to find. Look for a box with only 4 ingredients and red glass.
Egoiste I love too: but it is really spice oriented... cinnamon and spice powered. Much better in winter. Classic, but overpowering without the subtle complexity for me.
Top notes of... sweat, gasoline, motor oil; a heart of deer musk and gunpowder, resting on a base of sex and testosterone... Mandom.
I have not seen such a close run poll in some time. Two of my very faves, so I'm not that surprised. But I had to choose Egoiste.
When I submitted it was exactly 50:50.
This thread is so old it has gray hair coming out of its ears.
