    Smile My Perfume Adventure in Paris

    Hello Basenoters,

    I would like to share with you my small perfume adventure in Paris.

    Guerlain;

    I have had the privilege to visit the Guerlain Flag store at the Champs Elysees nr. 68 and to be able to shop at Guerlain Flag store it was really an experience,
    The SA was fantastic, very, very friendly, I could not resist anymore and end up taking Derby with me, I have tried to grab Derby in one of the old bottles, unfortunately its was no longer available;
    The Juice is beautiful and Derby is without no questions a killer!!!!
    Almost commit an act of lunacy, however reason has prevailed (lucky me and my bank account) by not taking home as well , 1 bottle of 50 ml of Habit Rouge Extrait - Euros 300, -
    I have been granted with so many samples, really a lot of it, just love it!!!!

    Frederic Malle;

    A Small, modern and elegant store, SA was very polite, I have purchased the travel kit containing 3 x 10 ml of Portrait of a Lady.
    I have not asked SA for samples as I have samples of he whole line of Mr. Malle , however not being granted with not even a small vial, broke my heart ;-((( for the rest,t it was ok.

    Patricia Nicolai;

    Very Polite SA, and I have brought home with me Cedrat Intense, and two sample of L'eau Chic;-)

    Tom Ford at Galeries la Fayette

    SA Assistant was extremely polite and beautiful, end up buying Italyan Cypress,
    My next Tom Ford will be Noir de Noir for sure, an Amazing take on Patchouli one of my favourite raw materials;-) by the way, Tom Ford fragrances are absolutely ultrageous, rich and luxurious!
    I have been granted with 3 generous samples ( I believe 5 ml each):

    - Neroli Portfino (beautiful and natural very classy, IMHO a modern interpretation of Eau Sauvage:
    - Tobacco Vanille (What an interesting Gourrmand, I am not particularly into Gourmands, but this one is a Gem),
    - Jasmine Musk (One word - Sexy)

    Cheers my scented friends;-))),

    Paris is great isn´t it! Really nice choices you made there.
    I also stood at the very same spot at Guerlains in May this year, with bottles of Derby and Arsene Lupin Dandy in my hands. I chose the latter, but took home a big sample of Derby. What also impresses me was Chamade Pour Homme. I also resisted to buy the Habit Rouge extract. A bit too much for 50ml of Habit Rouge I thought at that time. Do I regret it now? Oh yes!
    I didn´t go to Frederick Malle, but it looks like a great shop.
    Great pics, enjoyed it,thanks!

    One of my favorite is the Iunx boutique (at the hotel coste), imo one of the most impressive fragrance shop. There are exclusives fragrances and the ambiance is really strange. And near there is Jovoy, plenty of niches as the last Visconti - Musk du Roy, the dirtiest thing i have smelled recently

    I don't know the Frederic Malle boutique but i recenlty was at the s Printemps Haussman stand, the SA was very kind and gave me a sample with buying anything

    The Guerlain House is so damn impressive, Andrée Putman did an amazing job remodeling it. I always visit when in Paris. Looks/sounds like you had a great time, thanks for sharing this with us.
