Nine hours in and it's the Grey Flannel dry down that I'm left with. Still not bad, though. We'll see if my wife notices it when I get home late tonight from my board meeting.

Chuck, I've never heard the comparison before. Do they really smell alike, or only after nine hours? Believe it or not, I've never sampled Grey Flannel. But I'd love to try it, if they're at all similar.

They're not just alike, but there is a similarity. It does come hours in, though. I'm not the only one to notice this.

Why Creed is considered a niche? Because rednecks unable to buy it at their local grocery?

Damn, it pains me to hear that! I know that this was one of your all time faves along with ASLP, and it always sucks to see a fellow fragrance fanatic's true love fade.

Well, my own personal update here. Got samples of both IB and Sartorial from Pens and gave them a couple wearings each. I actually found myself liking Sartorial much more in the end. Ordered a bottle and it should be here in a few days, guess in a weird way I actually managed to save some money in the end as I was planning to get IB in the future.

First time Basenotes has saved me money, haha

Sartorial is quite good and I would recommend trying it if you like IB.

Just got my sample. The spicy aspects and the ginger are the best part.

It doesn't matter that it's unoriginal, because it's so well-made and handsome.

I like it, but don't know if I will ever love it. Still excellent, though.

Hah no way! That's awesome you remembered my favorite frag. No worries though, ASLP is still my fav of all time. I might have lost some interest in it over time, but it's still "me" and just feels like a second skin.

Invasion Barbare has now become my quintessential, classy, dress to impress kind of fragrance for me. I wear it on special occasions (and that's all I can stomach anyway lol)
