It's a lovely lovely iris.
Reminded me slightly of Iris Silver Mist.
But for that amount you're better off buying Iris Silver Mist.
Is it an iris perfume you're after?
If so I wouod reccomend Citta di Kyoto too. Very feminine iris.
Thread: Armani Prive la femme bleue
I was shopping in Selfridges during my lunch hour today, and cam across Armani's Prive line, and in particular the limited edition "La femme bleue."
I was hoping to get a ladies impression of the fragrance. I found it very soft, and whilst powdery, a very pleasant scent.
It's a limited edition of 1,000 bottles I believe and will set you back £375 for 100ml, so very much on the exclusive side.
My girlfriend loves iris in a fragrance and I wondered if this particular fragrance amongst those that have tried it.
I look forward to your comments...

Thanks for the heads up.
MY girlfriend is a huge fan of iris, and i cam across the armani prive fragrance by chance.
Will be sure to check out the favoured Serge Lutens though.
Any more recent sightings? Ladies?
I just had a sniff on paper at the boutique today (HK has a handful of the allotted few) and I think it's beautiful. Unfortunately without actually wearing it, or better still, setting out for an evening with a lady wearing it while adorning my arm, I can't be more specific than that it opens with a very elegant, very slightly sweetened 'twilight into evening powdery iris' vibe that is very come hither.
The Privé stuff is generally quite light / fleeting and I'm not going to trust a paper card that was waved in the general direction of a spritz to tell me if this one can really work it's magic throughout the course of a swellegant evening. I'll look back and check it out again but I'm interested if anyone here has come across it? Retail is HKD 5,200 (USD 650).
Really nice, though . . .

Armani's LFB is available at Bergdorf Goodman in NYC: 212-753-7300
I think the sales rep I spoke with is named Kevin.
Tyler, I will post sometime early next week (probably Tuesday) about my impression of the scent.
Obviously this is grossly overpriced, but still a gorgeous fragrance. It smells like a perfect mix of Dior Homme & Dior Homme Intense.
Iris Silver Mist: dry, woodsy/herbal, unisex; briefly takes a sour direction on my skin and feels unstable. I personally don't feel confident wearing this iris.
Iris de Nuit / Heeley: Smells good, but minimal complexity and quite linear; clean and detergent-like; I love it as it first goes on, then I get thoroughly bored after wearing this iris for a day.
Iris Ganache: A warm, gourmand iris; I get quite a nice drydown from this, but it is very sweet and can be overpowering. I wear this when I'm in the mood for L'Heure Bleue.
Hiris: A clean, strange, crisp iris (for me, this was a signature work fragrance about 10-12 years ago).
LFB: Nuanced, complex and sophisticated, slightly powdery and warm, then becomes a bit floral in the deep drydown. It manages to convey just whisper of sweetness and gourmand (this accord reminds me somewhat of Guerlain's Paris-Moscou EDT, but it is very subtle here) but the scent still remains fresh. Any iris fragrance lover should have at least a sample of this in his/her wardrobe.
Thanks for all of the reviews!!!
