I think Cartier make som realy refined and elegant fragrances. Pick your favorite! Mine are :
    1. Declaration regular/essence
    2. Must du Cartier
    3. Roadster

(I haven`t tried Santos yet, but a bottle will soon arrive)

    1. Roadster (i was hooked the second i sampled it...awesome fragrance)
    2. Declaration Essence (one spray on the chest and i'm good!)

That's all I've tried so far...the next one I'd like to try is Eau De Cartier Concentre Orange or Must de Cartier

So I take it you have either always liked the smell of "old, sharp armpit-sweat" or you've changed your mind about Declaration since April, 2010?

You`r right! I have done a heel-turn ;-) A full bottle of Declaration Essence was the kick I needed to appreciate and "understand" the quality of the original.

On a recent trip i went on a spray-fest in Abu Dhabi duty free. Filled my arms mostly with Tom Fords private blends, and as an after thought sprayed on some Roadster. The Roadster smelled the best of the lot to me ! So i've voted for Roadster. Impressive bottle too.

I used to have a bottle of Santos years ago which is the only other Cartier i've tried which i thought was pleasant enough but a little mellow/boring for me.

Thumbs up Re: Your favorite male Cartier fragrance.

    ROADSTER
Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

I bought Essence blind...I gotta tell ya, when I first put it on, my immediate association was B.O., as was my girlfriend's. But since then I've been putting on lighter applications and I've really come to enjoy it.

My vote goes for Must de Cartier `Anise Vert ´, which was a limited edition - so I classed it as others.
RARE PERFUME DECANTS - FACEBOOK (closed group) - Hundreds of ultra rare extraits available, including Djedi and Nombre Noir.

Actually, I think the Essence is less "dirty" than the original. Even though the Eau d`hermes is too much for me to handle, I tend to like those "dirty" aspects in fragrances. That`s why I prefer the parfume-version of Terre d`Hermes over the edt. It`s more rich, dense, and "dirty" in the dry down.

Me too, it's a toss-up between this and Eau de Cartier Essence d'Orange (nearly the same scent from what I can smell).

L'Heure Fougueuse is my must have Cartier. Yerbamaté is the lead note. It has displaced the original Declaration, which I still love, as my favourite.

Declaration / Declaration Essence tied for 1st. Since I could only vote for one, I choose the original Declaration.

I need to try more for this house.

I used to really enjoy Pasha, but repeated use has turned its wearing into a rather cloying experience. On the other hand, Santos Concentree seems to improve with age. A very special product.

Roadster. This has been hubby's go-to scent most of the summer. I like to wear it, too.
