    Default Direction of Fragrance

Just a little creative thought exercise this morning if anyone is up for it.

What would you like to see as the next big category of fragrances? Such as "Gourmand" when that first landed people were like ..... FOOD? Who wants to smell like food??

If you can't think of an entire new category, what would you love people to explore next?? Oud has been pretty darn explored the past couple years, what would you love to see done up next to that level?

I was thinking last night that it would be pretty cool to see a collection that started up by doing a scent for every state using ingredients from that state, but then I thought ewwww 50+ bottles lol. That might be too huge a picture I guess unless they were small bottles maybe 1oz.

As far as ingredients I would like to see lots done with roses, I love the few "manly" roses. I have a few women's perfumes just because they smell awesome but Rose31 and some Montales are about the only roses I would really wear.

I am sure there are tons of rose scents I haven't tried yet but more could be done like Oud!

Ok so lets get creative. I would like to see a fragrance shop where you can go in and create your own fragrances. Like for example in paint shops where you can choose the exact color you want and they will mix it for you.

I would love to see in this shop charts of all the possible combinations I want and get them to mix it on the spot and get something unequal and that I had a part in the making.

Awesome idea Jack, I have seen scent bars that do body sprays but very limited on the scents and you don't really create it's a menu more like.

Creating like that would be awesome! Talk about one of a kind.

They had one of those in San Diego's Gas Lamp District. About ten years back I had a guy mix me up something on the spot, and the top notes smelled IDENTICAL to Pure Havane's. It was only in a sample vial though, but he let me keep it. I was pretty young at the time, but I could still remember the smell, as it's the first thing my mind bounced back to when I got a whiff of Pure Havane's honey accord.

I'd love to see a fragrance released with a prominent Guaraná note or based on other very exotic Amazon plants.
