Default Synthetic/aromachemical suppliers in the uk

    Hi
Can anyone recomend good quality synthetic or aromachemical suppliers in the uk or that ship smallish quantities to the uk?
Or maybe there is a previous thread that has covered this?
    Thanks in anticipation

    Try these:

http://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/default.aspx in the US but ship to UK. Have used them before and was happy with items.

http://www.hekserij.nl/index.htm in the Netherlands but ship to UK. Not used them (yet) but others on here have.

Haven't found a UK based supplier yet.

I have used both of these. UK suppliers however are generally only interested in supplying rather larger quantities: 25kg and up. So not that useful.

The advantage of Hekserij is that because they are in the EU there is no customs clearance to go through (and in my experience customs clearance can take from 2 days to 2 months with no rhyme or reason). Plus Jan seems to be a nice chap, which is always a plus.

Hi Chris, in your experience is it possible to order not listed chemicals from Hekserij by contacting them?

I've not ordered anything 'off list' so far, but I would say it was certainly worth dropping Jan an email to ask if there is something you are looking for - he adds to the range all the time - what have you got to lose?

There's no aromachemical small amounts supplier in the UK, as far as I know.

I've bought mine through Hekserij too - the order worked out fine and the guy in charge was very helpful. Unfortunately they don't sell everything and I was thinking of asking whether they could order in some Okoumal, Safraleine, Javonol and Trimythl Pyrazine - in fact I'll do that this week!

Thanks everyone. Hekserij sound like the best option to avoid any customs charges.
