Default Your thoughts on these fragrances.

I hope your enjoying your weekend. Just this week a large order of various size decants arrived for me. I would really appreciate it if you could review and make comments. Do you like them? Is there an accord that you find unusual? Is there something of a similar nature you would recommend. I have read the reviews and hope you would expand. Thank you for doing this.

    The fragrances are:

    Bond #9-Silver Factory
    -Chinatown
    -New Harlem
    -Montauk
    -NY Oud

(this is my first venture into this house)

    Creed-Aubepine Acacia
    -Selection Verte

(The only other one I have tried is Himalaya)

    Tim Ford-Moss Breches

    Iunx-Splash Forte
    Yosh-Omniscent
    Pulp-Byredo
    10 Corso Como

    Thanks for your time.

    Cheers Rex

Of those you have listed, Creed Selection Verte is a wonderful fragrance IMO.

Thumbs up for Tom Ford Moss Breches. If I'm not mistaken, it's one of those rather uncommon beeswax chypres, somewhat analogous to Antaeus. Look for a series of great blog posts by JaimeB about Antaeus, chypres, and beeswax. We all had a great discussion of those topics. The Tom Ford is a bit more modern than Antaeus - enjoyably so - and has nice herbal and green aspects that really stand out. It's getting very hard to find. I have a nice sample thanks to a certain very generous BNer. I missed the chance to score a bottle.

New Haarlem is nice to compare with Rochas Man. Both are gourmands with coffee notes by the same perfumer. That's where the agreement and similarity ends. I will just say this - many BNers sniff both and part with one if their collection is being kept under a certain size. Others have to have both, to enjoy comparing them (I'm that kind of guy). I need to buy Rochas Man again - my son selected that one from my collection for his own use!

Pulp-Byredo has one of the juiciest mouthwatering openings ever! On my skin though, it didn't really develope into something that became a part of me, just kind of sat on top of my skin so I ended up not purchasing. Please post how it works out on you.

In your set, I especially like Chinatown, perhaps the most striking foodie perfume around. It evokes chinese food but it is not sweet. I am less of a fan of the rest of the Bond line (NY Oud, for instance, after a nice opening, didn't seem to have any oud notes for me).
