Fille en Aiguilles due to its delicious sweet pine resin and incense.

I like all of them, but some not as much as others.

My preferences, in order, are Fille en Aiguilles, Borneo 1834, Chergui, Chene.

I find Chene a bit too drily woody to be one of my favorites. As for Chergui, I like it a lot but do not have the adulation for it as many others do. It is a very nice perfume, but lacks the distinctive character of some others. Borneo 1834 is drier than many typically sweet, dense Lutens fragrances, although this sweet quality seems to be diminishing with the later releases. It is an excellent patchouli and cocoa fragrance. Fille en Aiguilles is a sweet, piney, spicy, woody, incensey fragrance, complex and satisfying.

They are all good, and different from one another. Chergui and Fille en Aiguilles are probably the closest of the bunch because of their sweet, syrupy nature. Any of them would be an excellent choice depending upon where your tastes lie.

Chergui - hay, tobacco, heaven. I don't find it sweet or syrupy, but warm, dry and comforting.

I like all of them. Some more than others and some not even mentioned in your list.

I like the cardamom, earthy cocoa and earthy vetiver.

I like the whiskey and woody motif of Chenê.

I can't vote, i'm torn between Borneo 1834 and Chergui. Chergui would be my choice if it were a bit stronger and longlasting.

    Can't find Borneo 1834 anywhere.

Fille en Aiguilles would probably edge out Chergui for me - I like them both but I grew up right next to a pine forest and FeA really does a good job of capturing that atmosphere . Chergui is a great happy scent and quite unique, though - I enjoy it a lot on the odd occasion I wear it.

And when you, it'll be for at least $150.
Exactly like how bois oriental and bois et fruits and bois et violette now cost up to $200 for the 50ml.
Because these are temporary global releases that were released some time ago and stock is thinning. Those who have it are charging high prices.

Chergui and Fille en Aiguillesand finally Chergui by a nose. I think FeA is the more interesting composition but for me Chergui is the one I reach for more often.

Fille en Aiguilles and Borneo 1834 are what I own.............haven't tried Chene and Chergui turns too powdery on me!!

    Chène. Because it`s a Lutens that`s wearable!

Of these four, I pick Chergui. Chene is very close though and unfortunately, I've not tried FeA.

I've owned Chergui, Filles and Chêne. Out of these three, I find Chergui the most satisfying, and easiest to wear. Lutens/Sheldarke's tendency to overdose woody aroma chemicals, in the name of art, can at times be overbearing. Chêne is a good example, it starts out quite compelling, like a virtual, freshly cut oak tree. But it ends up being the olfactory equivalent of that Monty Python skit, "I'm a lumber jack, and I'm OK!" - repeating itself ad nauseam. Filles is quite lovely for the first couple of hours, but on me, the pine note goes sour, and it stays sour way until I wash it off.
Chergui, on the other hand, goes on beautiful, in it's hay/cherry tobacco sweetness, and stays lovely, all through its excellent development. I've never owned Borneo, but being a patchouli fan, I always give it a sniff at the perfume counter.

I find Fille en Aiguilles, for the lack of a better description, haunting. It's not the easiest to wear though.

I chose FeA because of the pine, but I like most of the others too. Borneo would be my second - if in the mood for patchouli.

this, with Chene as a close second. Love the pine/incense combo on the former and the sweet/oakmoss of the latter.
