    Default Your Favorite "L'Eau"

So with summer fast approaching especially here in AZ I find myself reaching for lighter type scents. I tried Parfums de Nicolai - L'eau Chic and I am really digging it's minty freshness.

So, what are your favorite "L'Eau" scents? Any to recommend? Thanks!

Guerlain has 5 that are all great. Imperiale, du Coq, de Fleurs de Cedrat, Eau, and Cologne de Parfumeur. I prefer Eau de Guerlain.

I love the L'Eau Mixte by de Nicolai, which I believe was the first in this house's L'Eau series. That crisp blackcurrant-bud note just really hits it.

Another vote also for Eau de Patou. If you have an older bottle the soft incense in the drydown is an unexpected beauty.

One that you don't run into so often is Eau Fraiche de Leonard. Went through bottles and bottles of this at one time. Moss, greens, lime peel, whispery powdered sandalwood - it says and delivers all the right notes.

Wow, lots of good suggestions here. I've never heard of Eau de Patou but it seems pretty popular, so I need to get my nose on this and some others mentioned here. This is exactly why I love this community.

I've seen this one Rec'd a lot too. The only thing that has stopped me from getting it is I want to test how different it is from the regular Guerlain L'eau.

+1 to all of the above

Also, Azzaro Pour Homme L'Eau is a nice under-the-radar flanker that smells more expensive than it is.

    +1 Eau de Guerlain

Azzaro PH L'eau is a very nice flanker worth picking up for ~$10, but I wouldn't put it near the top of this list.

This might be a summer blind buy for me. Another lover of green scents and always enjoy a bit of tomato leaf in my fragrances.

Thanks all! I will definitely be looking into all the Guerlain offerings.

Also, for Eau de Patou, which of the bottles is the vintage one(cone shaped or round)? And is the vintage one the one that is marketed towards women? (not that I care, I will wear anything that smells great)

    This is the vintage.

Don't be fooled by the marketing - it's perfectly unisex.

+ on Guerlain Homme L' Eau (or Boisee)
Guerlain Eau de Cologne and Imperiale and Cologne du Parfumeur are all close to perfection. Makes me want to own the entire Guerlain set of EDC's.
I need to give some props where due to Aqua di Parma's Colonia Essenza - wow is that stuff good! In a similar vein TF Mandarino d' Amalfi is very fine.
Concentre d' Orange Verte is the Hermes standby that is also similar to Essenza but not quite as sublime, imo.
Also a bg fan of Dior Homme L' Eau but also think Dior Homme Cologne smells more "Eau" than the Eau does - both are great, I've got both and like em. If you like the apothecary stringent bitters of Delcaration the new L' Eau is worth a try. I needs bold application but is worth it.
